The apartment is pristine and part of the new Horizon Sky resort.
This resort is built on a headland in the Bay of Gulluk with a truly amazing view of the Aegean Sea. It is in a conservation area and there are very few cars so the air is clean and vitalising.
The apartment can be reached by road or sea. Between Horizon Sky marina and the fishing village of Guluk there is a complimentary sea taxi service which runs regularly from early morning to late at night. The crossing takes 30 minutes and is delightful. You can sit up deck in the sun or take shade beneath.
From Bodrum airport a taxi all the way is approximately 40 euros and 40 minutes.
An alternative is a taxi to Guluk approximately £20 and 20 minutes and then take the complimentary sea taxi from there to Horizon Sky.
At the entrance to the resort you will be met by the helpful staff and shown to your apartment and assisted with your luggage.
Some people find all they need within the resort and feel little need to venture inland. This includes pools ,beach ,restaurant ,bar ,shop ,gym ,sauna and wi-fi.
In the resort you can opt for a more peaceful private stay. The apartment and veranda is very spacious and the jacuzzi on the veranda and the amazing view of the sea mean staying in doors is very appealing even with young children. Alternatively you can laze around one of the quieter of the 7 swimming pools or resort beach or the local beach. Jasmine beach in particular is recommended.
Although there is a restaurant bar and shop within the resort a trip to one of the larger supermarkets in Guluk is recommended if you want to enjoy the self- catering aspect.
On the the other end of the spectrum there are friendly faces at the main pool area where the restaurant and main bar are. There is also a small children's play area here. The staff extend the best of Turkish hospitality and make all feel welcomed.
For historical ventures Loanis is 10 mins drive from Horizon Sky.
When you want to venture Guluk is a colourful fishing village with some good restaurants (local and international) bars, supermarkets and weekly open market.
From Guluk you can take a bus or hire a car (approx £30 per day) to buzzing Bodrum with its castle and designer shopping
.
