Beautiful renovated cottage with 2 bedrooms and a sleeping loft. Fully equipped kitchen, spa-style bathroom with whirlpool tub, and laundry in basement. Light fills interior through skylights and large windows that offer panoramic views of the Parker Wildlife Refuge and serene salt marsh. Living area is open concept: kitchen, dining area, living room. Wrap-around deck on 3 sides. Cottage is located on the quiet, south side of the island at the edge of the refuge. Street is quiet, dead-end. Year-round home with central heat.

Nearest Train: Newburyport, MA at 3 Miles
Car: recommended
Island recreation, in addition to the beach, includes biking, fishing, marsh and ocean kayaking and nature hikes through the Wildlife Refuge, a bird watchers paradise. The Island has a few small restaurants and bars, convenience stores, etc. Only 3 miles from Plum Island, tourists can visit downtown Newburyport. This 'Nantucket-esque' village offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, a waterfront park and boardwalk, a large antique barn, theater, cinema, and museums. Portsmouth, NH is 25 minutes to the north, another historic seaport and common tourist attraction. Boston is 40 miles from Plum Island, or a 1 hour commuter rail ride from Newburyport.

This house is cozy, clean and all furniture/decorations look new. My parents stayed here for a weekend and loved it! The owner was very friendly, courteous and accommodating on very short notice. I definitely would recommend this location!
