Spectacular Panoramic Waterfront Apartment Rue Longue-Free Wi-Fi

We fell in love with Menton over our several trips here. There is so much to do. The botanical gardens, the restaurants, the beach, and the culture. We also fell in love with the people. They are gentle, they are very courteous to us when we speak our less than perfect French. There is also a nice mixture of French and Italian culture so the food choices are superb. We looked at several properties and we liked some of them. But when we walked into what is now our apartment, our jaws literally dropped with amazement. It was love at first sight. We walked right in to the large doors that lead to our balcony, took a look at the view and knew this was the place. We also loved the elegance and privacy of the Rue Longue. It is a special and quiet place. You can not drive a car down this road unless you have a special clicker which is reserved for residents of our street. Therefore it is mostly a pedestrian-only street that is very quiet. Our apartment is a 'through and through' meaning one side fronts the sea and the other fronts the Rue Longue. It was actually two apartments that were combined years ago which offers lots of room to relax and unwind.

The apartment exudes charm. From the high ceilings, and arches to the thick concrete textured walls, you know you are in an historic building. The location and view are the two top benefits. You absolutely do not need a car in the the Old Town. You can take an express bus for 18 EUR from the Nice airport or the train from Nice. Both are a few blocks away when you arrive. The view of the sea is amazing. Since we are on the top floor, you can see for miles and miles and just see water and mountains in your view. This makes it a special getaway for us and for our friends. We recently renovated the windows and doors with modern, double pane glass to enhance a quiet experience indoors. The windows are very large and allow for great Mediterranean breezes from the sea. We are right on the first row of buildings and our only neighbor in front is the sea.
