Located a few steps from the Cathedral, up on the first floor of a prestigious sixteenth-century building. The large door on the street opens onto a spacious foyer with vaulted ceiling and the original well. The stone staircase leading to the apartment is spacious, with low steps, very easy.
The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and quiet, with a small terrace where you can sit and have a coffee and read with the 'Cupolone' (Brunelleschi Dome) in front of you.
The free standing steel kitchen is very large, with large work surfaces, and therefore you will have the opportunity, if you will, to cook some typical recipe .... and serve it on the big table for eight people.
The furnishings and decorations are maintained and reflect the personality of the owner, an artist-craftsman who creates original brass jewelry and clothing in a nearby shop in the center.
Just come for a 'Slow journey' in Florence!!!
Located a few steps from Piazza del Duomo (the Brunelleschi's Chatedral), the apartment is located in very center of the ancient city, within medieval circle. Very close there is Via dei Servi, large pedestrian street with many shops, bars, restaurants and supermarket, linking, even visually, the Chatedral to Piazza Santissima Annunziata, also by Brunelleschi, a masterpiece of 1400, in my opinion the most beautiful square of Florence.
A few stepsand you find the Oblate public library, open until midnight, is worth a stop for a coffee, read a good book or a newspaper, and enjoy a rare spectacular view . There is also a great reading-playing room for children.
All tourist attractions are only a few minutes walking and there are plenty of restaurants, night clubs, info point, markets ... nearby. Just wear a comfortable pair of walking shoes and enjoy Florence!
