Vineyard contemporary with privacy and long views across the Vineyard Sound. High ceilings and expansive windows invite light and island breezes. Kitchen newly remodeled this winter(2006-2007). Enjoy awesome sunsets from the decks and all living areas. Every room is a stylish 'Crate and Barrel' showcase with 4 airy bedrooms including 2 private masters and a total of 4 bathrooms. Our private Makonikey association beach sits midway between Tashmoo Pond and Lambert's Cove Beach on the Island's north shore. The calm shores are perfect for kids, kayaking (2 come with the house!) and long walks. Walk from our front door to the water in less than 5 minutes down dirt paths. The house is set up perfectly for large multi family or multi generational groups with 2 separate living/family room areas. Vineyard Haven is a convenient 10 minute drive away for shopping, movies etc.

The private Makonikey Association beach is perfect for calm swimming and beach walks. Our two kayaks are kept down at the beach for long paddles up into Tashmoo pond or simply for paddling around in the shallows of our beach. The Island is great for biking, hiking, birding. World class fishing can be done from boats, as well as casting and fly fishing from the shore. On the island's south shore beaches you can enjoy great body surfing. Lamberts Cove Beach, the islands most exclusive white sand beach, is a short bike ride or drive from our home and is an alternative to our own private beach. Lamberts Cove Beach is open only to West Tisbury residents and tenants.
