The residence is ideally placed in the picturesque village of Meina, which provides an idyllic place to relax and unwind. The village boasts many fine villas and gardens which sprung up during the 19th century when the fashionable families from Milan and Novara decided to holiday here. An ancient town centre can be explored and there are some good local restaurants and a frequent lake bus service, with many more amenities to be found in the nearby town of Arona and attractions in and around Stresa, a popular visitor town just 15 minutes away, including the Umbrella Museum, Villa Pallavicino and the Mottarone funicular railway. A Transport museum is also situated in nearby Ranco. For thrill seekers ‘Alpyland ‘on the summit of Mottarone is an alpine coaster/bob ride experience and one definitely to try!
The idyllic Borromean Islands which can be viewed from the property itself are also worth exploring and Isola Bella is just a 10 minute boat ride from Stresa, with its medieval buildings and enchanting Doll Museum.
Milan Malpensa airport is just 32km away making this part of Lake Maggiore highly accessible.
