The apartment (ID 802) is extremely spacious and provides luxurious accommodation over 2 floors with lift access in a luxury self-catering hotel apartment environment.

Inside, a spacious open plan living area with lake view balcony welcomes guests with a fitted marble topped kitchen with dining area and a comfortable sitting room furnished with flat screen TV for guests’ entertainment.

The views from the sunny balcony are superb and feature the gorgeous lake shore and also the famous medieval castle ‘La Rocca di Angera.’ Outdoor furniture enables guests to enjoy romantic ‘alfresco’ dining during their stay.

A staircase leads from the first floor living area to the spacious loft floor above which boasts a beautiful master bedroom furnished with a comfortable double bed and a second bedroom furnished with two single beds. Both bedrooms feature high beamed ceilings and access out onto a sunny private roof balcony. Any additional guests can be accommodated to the double sofa bed to the downstairs living room.

A contemporary fitted bathroom with power shower, towel rack, wash basin, WC and bidet is situated in the apartment with onsite laundry facilities also available.

The luxury apartment is situated in a beautifully renovated two storey residence boasting excellent onsite resident facilities including a beautiful authentic Italian restaurant with a sunny lakefront alfresco dining terrace and providing optional Room service and takeaway facilities. Meina:

The idyllic village of Meina, situated along the southern end of the Piedmont coast of Lake Maggiore, has been regarded since the 19th century as a delightful tourist destination, when wealthy families from Novara and Milan built their elegant villas here. Today guests can still admire the beauty of these fine villas and gardens, and explore the historical centre which is 20m above the lake level. Some good local restaurants are located in the village and an excellent bus service operates through the town, taking visitors to the popular destinations of Arona and Stresa in under 15 minutes

The surrounding area offers golf courses, horse riding centres and sport clubs and Milan Malpensa airport is also just32km away.

Lake Maggiore:

Lake Maggiore is 54 km long, with a coastline of over 150km and at its widest is 12 km. Like all the other Northern Italian lakes it is a deep glacial basin fed by rivers; Verzasca, Giona, and Cannobino flow into the lake. Its major outlet is the Ticino which, in turn, joins the river Po just south-east of Pavia.

Piedmont and Lombardy are two major regions surrounding the Lake but the most northerly section of Lake Maggiore extends a dozen kilometres into Switzerland, the lowest point above sea-level in Switzerland.

The climate as with all these protected lakes is mild in both summer and winter, producing lush vegetation, with beautifully planted gardens in wonderful villas growing rare and exotic plants. Well-known gardens include those of the Isola Madre, Isola Bella and the Isole di Brissago, that of the Villa Taranto in Verbania, and the Alpinia botanical garden above Stresa. These lakes are almost like a lost world. They also have their monsters apparently!
