House, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

This home has a fresh spa-like feel with modern touches. The U-shaped house wraps around a large patio with free-form pool. 40 feet of glass doors open onto the 1400 square ft lanai for 100% indoor/outdoor living.The lanai looks into a tropical garden and behind that is an 8 foot fence for total privacy. Two of the bedrooms overlook the pool. The terrazzo granite floors throughout-out the home have been restored and the house is completely updated with new furniture, window treatments, linens. All beds are encased in 'Allergy Armour' mattress bags.

The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and a 15 minute walk gets you to a breakfast place, grocery store and other shopping.

This house is four miles from Siesta Key beach which is rated one of the top 10 beaches in the country. It is an easy drive and there is plenty of parking at the beach. We provide beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and a cooler.

About The Owner

My family is large ...when I am here in the winter the 4 bedrooms mean that relatives can be coming and going and no one ends up on the sofa. The house is spread out and there are several different places to relax. Each of us can have as much or as little privacy as we want.

The Owner purchased this house in 2004
Why The Owner chose Sarasota

After driving up and down both coasts over 3 winters I chose Sarasota because of the very 'settled feel' of the town. Many of the developments were established years ago, the landscaping is mature, The clean, modern style that is represented by the 'Sarasota School of Architecture' pops up here and there in the neighborhoods.

Notes: The house is a 10 minute drive (4 miles) to Siesta Key beach. At the house is a binder with maps, restaurant menus theaters, golf courses, gyms, entertainment, etc. Also,there are 2 very nice YMCA's that do reciprocal's within a 10 minute drive of the house: one near Palmer Ranch and the other in downtown Sarasota.

We stayed a small week in this paradise in july, 2007. We had an excellent time. The house is just unbelievable with the large pool, the many bedrooms and bathrooms and the careful selected furniture. Extremely well-equippped, including PC internet connection and full operational kitchen.

Zen and More !!

This property is comfortable, spacious , unpretentious and lovely. While away hours floating in the very private, heated pool while your doggie runs circles around you. If your lucky and it's mango season, breakfast will be on your doorstep where the established tree is abundant in fruit. Privacy is what jumps out here...the yard is completely fenced and the courtyard pool and lanai are an oasis. This is a great retreat..book it quick.

Even Better Than Expected

This was our first time renting a vacation house and we were nervous about it. I kind of expected it would look much different than in pictures but it was right on the money. It looked a bit small from the outside but when you get inside it is huge! We had 8 1/2 people total and everyone had a bed. It was stocked with everything we could have thought of and it felt squeaky clean. The pool area is unbelievable the pool is huge and it has several separate seating area's - one is an outdoor dining area with swanky wicker lanterns for lighting we barbecued a lot to save money and used almost every night the best part is that it is all completely screened in so no Florida bugs. There is also a beautiful lounge area that you could even sleep outside because the area is completely private - bedroom 4 has a sitting area and a mini-fridge which was perfect for our family that brought their toddler. They could keep all of her little snacks and milk separate and in easy reach. Overall the best experience we could have imagined with this house. A steal for the price and doesn't include all the fun we had in the area - which is a whole 'nother review...

Great home for winter getaway

We stayed in this lovely home from Dec. 24, 2011 until Feb. 13th, 2012. The home was nicer than pictured and extremely comfortable. EVERYTHING one could need was there. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, the bedrooms were very comfortable, plenty of hangers in the closets,etc. The living area was very comfortable for up to six people. The lanai was beautiful with comfortable furniture and lovely landscaping. This home is great for families or two or three couples traveling together. It is also very dog friendly, with terrazzo .floors and a dog door from the lanai. It is only a ten minute drive to beautiful Siesta Key beach. Put this one at the top of your list!

This house was a perfect location for our family vacation. It is clean, spacious, quiet, private, and has everything you could need. The best part about it for us was the gorgeous, screened-in pool with wrap-around patio. Perfect water temperature day and night and no mosquitoes! So relaxing! It's only a short drive to Siesta Beach with white, powdery sand, gentle waves and aqua blue water. We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone.
