Sunrise or moonrise, it's your choice! Sip your coffee or wine while you sit on the upper deck, outside of the master bedroom, of this spectacular waterfront home. You will be treated to an ever-changing natural drama from this recently built home on Flying Point overlooking Casco Bay. Herons, gulls, and other sea birds share the scene, and if you are lucky, you may even spot seals swimming right in your back yard! The four bedrooms, four full baths, gourmet kitchen, stone patio, deck, and hot-tub are waiting for you. Even when you are inside, you can enjoy beautiful waterfront views from every window.
Thank you so much for giving us this wonderful week. Your home is beautiful; the water, soothing and relaxing. We have appreciated the serenity of the ocean.Thank you again! Terry
Our family couldn't stop talking about the spacious, comfortable home and beautiful water views of this home! We gathered for a college graduation and it was so much better than a hotel - we barbecued, sat out on the patio around the fire pit, and hung out in the large family room fronting the ocean. Everyone enjoyed taking shopping trips in Freeport and eating out in the many great restaurants there. The owners were personable and helpful, and we would heartily recommend staying here to have a wonderful Maine experience! Thank you for such great memories of a special weekend for our family.
Betsy and Gar graciously rented their beautiful home over the holidays so my family had a place to enjoy each other's company. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had picked the right place! There was nothing we wanted for during our trip and even though it was the middle of winter, the views were still gorgeous! The house is large, cozy, unique and stocked with everything you would need. The owners even decorated the house and put up a Christmas tree for us to enjoy!! It is a 5-10 minute drive to downtown Freeport and still right on Casco Bay-couldn't have picked a better house for the occasion.
This is a great house, in a great location. It's been a few years since we stayed and I apologize for not commenting sooner. The house has plenty of space for guests to come together or to find a little alone time. It was amazing to see parts of the by out both the front door and the back door (the back door/ back patio view is amazing!). With the water only steps away and the town of Freeport only a couple miles away, you couldn't ask for a better location. Additionally, you're close enough to express ways for trips north and south, to experience various towns and beaches. My family and I still talk about how much fun we had during this trip. Thanks!
My wife and I rented this spectacular property while in Maine for my son's wedding. It is a short drive from the Portland Airport. The pictures and description on the website do not adequately describe the house, amenities and location. The house was in pristine condition and had all the comforts of home. The morning sunrises were spectacular. The kitchen had every kitchen tool you needed. The downstairs game room, which needs to be listed on the website description has a ping pong table and full bar. The hot tub and grill was perfect for an evening cookout and relaxation. The house is located 8-10 minutes away from Freeport. The Bow Street Market which is located on the way to Freeport has the best selection all food products from meat, cheese, produce, wine and anything else you might need. The location was perfect for us and we found the owners to be extremely helpful and cooperative throughout the entire rental process. I would definately recommend this property to others and we plan to stay here again on our next trip to beautiful Maine.
Freeport, Maine is a favorite vacation destination for families who enjoy a great variety of outdoor activities. Without leaving Freeport, you can swim at a sandy beach, play golf, hike the picturesque coast at Wolf Neck State Park, visit a bird sanctuary or a working farm, or you can discover the curious Desert of Maine.
You can have a traditional lobster dinner on the dock at Harraseeket Landing and of course you can shop endlessly in the outlet stores and L.L. Bean just a few miles into town. If you venture further north up the coast, you can visit a Maritime Museum in Bath, take an island cruise out of Boothbay Harbor, visit the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland and take in the famous works of art by Jamie, Andrew and N.C. Wyeth. And of course Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are well-known Maine landmarks on the must-do list.
Other Activities: Shopping in the Freeport outlets!
