About Cindy Britt
Bob and Cindy Hosford own and manage the Dreamcatcher Cabin and Tanasi Lodge. We pay personal attention and add amenities both inside and outside the properties to provide extra touches not found when not personally managed. We are available full time to provide information on hiking trails, shopping, events, and some discount tickets. The grounds have beautiful flower beds. The most unique aspect of the cabin and lodge is that there is an incredible view of the mountains from both the front AND the rear of the houses - Of sunrises in the front and sunsets in the rear, with complete privacy, quiet, with no cabins in site except way down in the valley - see aerial photos!
Cindy Britt purchased this cabin in 1994
Why Cindy Britt chose Pigeon Forge
There are VERY FEW properties that have 360 spectacular Mountain and Valley Views! The Dreamcatcher has incredible views from the front decks of sunrises over mountain ranges, of Wear's Valley, and Cove Mountain which borders the National Park. The views from the rear decks of incredible sunsets are truly memorable.
What makes this cabin unique
The Dreamcatcher is not in a development, it is at the end of the road (just 2 miles from the main highway), with no houses visible on either side of the cabin and only miles away in the front and the back (see photos!). The area is completely private, quiet and secluded. Having incredible views from both the front and back of the cabin is truly unique!
Guestbook comments from the owner
We just returned from a wonderful week-long stay at the Dreamcatcher Cabin in the sky and had a fantastic time! I had the bad fortune of having to work part of the time while we were there, but it was in the most enjoyable work location I could ever ask for. The top floor of the cabin, which looks out on the valley with spectacular views on both sides, became my ‘office suite’ and allowed the rest of my family to play on the rest of the property while I was busy. In addition to daily excursions to local attractions, the guys did guy things on the bottom level where the pool table and games are, and watched endless guy movies on the big screen TV while the fireplace kept them cozy. We took advantage of the fully equipped kitchen and cooked gourmet meals every evening while we watched what was going on outside all around us. I was delighted to find a lovely selection of adorable serving dishes that we took full advantage of (I am a kitchenware and china-holic). The cabin is spotless and Cindy has made it the most comfortable, welcoming and enchanting place. It feels like a home. Every convenience and comfort you could ask for is provided and attention is paid to every small detail. We left the drapes open when we turned in for the night and fell asleep to twinkling lights in the distance below us. And on one evening I took an indulgent bubble bath in the fabulous whirlpool bathtub and had bubbles up to my ears. After dark, we discovered tiny twinkly white fairy lights entwined among the greenery adorning the rustic stairway that leads to the loft above the main living room. But we turned them off after awhile as they were competing with the lights in the valley below. During our stay, early spring flowers and tree foliage were just beginning to come out and we sat on the lovely wrap-around deck in the rocking chairs and just enjoyed everything. It was so quiet and peaceful that we didn't want to leave. You wouldn’t know there was an enormous vacation playground of activities anywhere near the cabin, but fun and fantasy are only a few miles away if you want it. And if you are a pottery and textile fan like me, there are a vast many exquisitely talented artists in the area who sell their work in a variety of locations. I found several (won’t say how many) lovely things to take home with me that will remind me of my Dreamcatcher stay. We definitely look forward to another peaceful retreat at Cindy and Bob’s cabin in the sky!
