Bath with tub/shower. 2 pine paneled bedrooms, one with Queen and one with double (i.e. full) bed. Convertible couch (double) in living room. Clothes washer and dryer in basement. 100 ft private sandy beach across road from cottage.

Great swimming; 8 x 8 swim raft. On East Shore Drive of Schroon Lake, near hamlet of Adirondack, NY. Half hour from Lake George and Gore Mountain. Outlet malls near Lake George and also the Great Escape Six Flags Theme Park and Water Park.

This is a lovely, quiet cottage, fully renovated in 2002. Very neat, clean and comfortable. Spacious and beautiful deck, with wonderful views of Schroon Lake and the mountains. Fine swimming with swim raft off shore, and great canoeing. Near Gore Mountain for great skiing and Lake George for recreation and fun.

Ski:

Great skiing at Gore Mountain, about a 45 minute drive!

Golf:

about 12 miles to Schroon Lake Public Golf Course

Other Activities:

Tennis courts available; golf available; water skiing and tubing

Great Place!

The Billabong Cottage was a lovely place to stay! We took family walks every evening, had a blast on the private beach, loved the cute General Store, and settled right in for our week of vacation. Even the flat grassy yard area turned out to be such fun for our son! Thanks for a very easy rental transaction and for stopping in to check on us. Great Place!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Excellent Vacation

I just want to say that every piece of informaton stated about the rental property was accurate. The place was clean and well maintained. The owner came the first day to make sure everything was all right and also half way into the vacaton. He was very friendly and helpful. We had company over a couple of times and they could not get over our excellent find! The place was perfect. We are thinking about doing it again next year. I would recommend it to anyone who was interested. We ahd dinner at The Drake and also Flannagin's Pub and Grill. Both were just a short drive from the cabin and both were excellent. The people at the Adirondack Store were very friendly and the store had everything even breakfast and lunch! We also went to the Adirondack Museum and Ausable Chasm. Both were worth the trip. But the best part was the private beach! We set up our chairs and left them there the whole time. Nothing was bothered. Our son anchored his boat there. We used the canoe and the floats that were provided. What can I say-we just had a great time.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Schroon Lake Billabong Cabin

Very good value for the price. Cabin and Lake Front have a lot of privacy. Cabin was nice and well kept. Plenty of room with a huge deck and a concrete floor garage. Cabin also comes with a variety of recreational activites such as canoes, rafts, ping pong table and more. A lot of fun and I would recommend to anyone.
