Matunuck Vacation Rental house

This rental was the perfect beach home that everyone imagines. The quiet but friendly neighborhood, beautiful yard, wildlife, and porches made it a very peaceful and relaxing spot. The house is very well kept and the upstair's bedroom is amazing...a very romantic, beautiful loft. This is definitely a perfect spot if you want to unwind and enjoy a quaint beach community. Great place!

I picked this house because the pictures viewed online made it seem charming and inviting. It was all of those things and more. My husband, two teenage daughters, and myself were very happy when we arrived. The gardens surrounding the house were beautiful. The owner brought that beauty inside by displaying many vases of fresh cut flowers throughout the different rooms in the house. Everything in the house was neat and clean. They provided us with ample toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, ect. , and even brought us a new grill when they realized that the old one was not working properly. They also made sure we had plenty of propane as well. During the week they stopped by to empty the gargbage/recycling bins and to see if we were doing ok with all our needs. They were never intrusive, just helpful.

The beach was only about a 5 minute stroll away, and we enjoyed the walk every day! At he end of the road was a cute breakfast cafe and a great neighborhood market where we were able to get a daily newpaper, coffee, & deli items,. We even found that the cuts of meat there were cheaper than going to a regular grocery store. There was a little ice cream shop also a few minutes away that the girls enjoyed nightly. If you didn't want to walk, the local "Skippy" truck came by with bells a ringing.

The weather was sunny but a little chilly at times, and the upper deck off the bedroom was a great place to catch the rays and warmth.

We fully enjoyed our stay and would go back again in the future.

My family and I spent a week at the beach cottage and it was truly wonderful. The cottage is in a lovely setting with beautiful gardens. It is well furnished and homely and we wanted for nothing. There were lovely finishing touches that the owner, Liz had provided, like the fresh flowers from the garden. I would definitely recommend this cottage whether you are looking for a romantic time away or a family holiday. Fantastic - Thankyou!!
