This renovated two bedroom cottage sits a close 20 feet from the water edge, on a very quiet cove at the south end of Cobbosseeconte Lake. The location on Trues Cove provides a very sheltered place where you can relax and enjoy yourself. Watch the Loons, Ospreys and American Bald Eagles. This cottage is fairly secluded and is not 'camp on top of camp'. Cobbosseeconte Lake is about 8 miles long by a mile wide and dotted with many islands, some of which allow public access. It is one of the best bass fishing lakes in Maine and several 5 pound bass have been caught off our dock. Several bass tournaments are held here each year. Besides bass there are brown trout, perch, pickeral and some northern pike. Enjoy quiet evenings on an oversized (12' x 24') deck. Relax on lawn chairs or at the waterfront picnic table. Enjoy attractions or shopping? The cottage is only a short drive to Freeport (L.L. Bean, outlet stores), Boothbay Harbor or Portland. Visit the state capital in Augusta and its museums or hit the Maine beaches. For day trips there is Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor or Pemaquid Point Light. Whitewater rafting is also available for the hardy. Enjoy seaside lobster dining within 45 minutes. Great reasons to just stay at the camp. * good swimming, boating, sunbathing, bird watching and fishing off the private waterfront. * docking space for boats up to 20' is on-site. * Miles of scenic waterways with public access islands for your canoe, kayak or boat. * Rental boats and canoes are available on the lake. *Country road location for hiking and biking. * Groceries and restaurants within minutes. Due to the close proximity of this camp to the water we do not recommend this location for children.

Rental boats and canoes are available on the lake. We are happy to supply you with contact information. We do not recommend this location for small children and discourage youngsters less than 10. The owners have a camp right next to the rental and are always happy to guide and direct you towards whatever you would like to do. There are two golf courses within 10 minutes for those of you who want to golf. Fishing is always excellent on Cobbosseeconte Lake and our location on the lake always provides quiet water. A state boat launch is about 5 miles and a boat up to 20' can be docked at the cottage. Be aware that the State of Maine requires a permit (invasive weed sticker) on all boats. This is available at the information center on I-95 in Kittery.
