What an incredible spot and beautiful home!...We have had the most wonderful week…For the kids, the highlights remained meeting the deer on the first evening and swimming from the pier...

Guestbook comments from the owner
(CONTINUED FROM LAST COMMENT)Friday was our down day. We stayed in the house all day. The boys played with the various toys, board games, and watched various movies. They enjoyed frolicking in the yard and enjoying the view from the boat dock. Thank you so much for being so kid-friendly. It's very thoughtful of you and made a very pleasant stay that much more enjoyable. Also, thank you for the welcome snacks. With 2 (fast) growing boys, these snacks made for a welcome treat whenever that hunger pang came.Well, here we are on Saturday morning. My oldest son commented that he wanted to stay another night. However, because of other guests, we need to check out. We're planning to go to Chico State later in the day to show the boys mommy and daddy's alma mater.Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us. I especially wanted to thank Callie for her kindness and always going that "extra mile" to make sure all of our questions were answered. She helped us find Zack Hart and for that(and many other things), we are truly appreciative. For anyone who is interested in Zack's services, he can be reached at: Almanor Adventures, Zack Hart, (530) 2567-2198.We've created some very special memories here and hope to make this an annual tradition. Thanks again from all of us!!

This is our second time my family and I have stayed (4 adults & 2 children) at this beautiful home on Lake Almanor. First, let me say, the owners are wonderful to work with, they are personable, so helpful and their main goal is that you are 100% comfortable and they clearly achieve this. The house is situated in a cove with a great front lawn for children, a nice dock and a peacefulness unimagined. The home itself is warm and inviting, always spotless and has every amenity you need for a perfect vacation. This is a great home for children to just have a good time. The location is perfect with easy access to the marina, a small, but well-stocked grocery store very close and a nice restaurant. Our family has rented many home over the years for boating vacations and this is our absolute favorite and we will be returning again and again! A huge thank-you to the owners for allowing us to share in this little piece of heaven.

We had a perfect week at Lake Almanor...the beautiful home, the boating, the dock, the was a fantastic vacation and we can't wait to book a week for next summer! This home was just as described...actually it is better and how often does that happen? It is a step back in time with all the comforts of today! We have stayed at various homes on Lake Almanor (including in the Country Club) and this was by far the best. The owners are just the most helpful and generous people, even going with my husband to the marina when we had issues with our boat. In the past year and half, we have been to Europe (St. Regis), Hawaii (Westin on Kauai), Southern Cal. (Sheraton) - all wonderful hotels and our week at Lake Almanor was by far our favorite! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!! We will definitely be back!!

For our first vacation with both our 4 year old and 11 mth old, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The house is absolutely beautiful and obviously well taken care of.

It has everything, a secure boat dock that is easily accessible from the launch, a large lawn with a horse-shoe pit and bacchi ball for outdoor play, a great deck with loungers & strategically placed umbrella's for relaxing and viewing the lake, or the deer that visit daily (I'd be there every day too if I could). Every detail has been considered in the layout and amenities. Kitchen is well stocked, and there are music, movies, games and books galore. This was a great place for a family with littles, or I would say for older kids as well.

With much thanks to the personalble and very lucky owners, we got info on the local market, the local ice cream parlor, Paul Bunyan's mini-golf as well as a fantastic italian restaurant Tantardino’s - all withing walking distance! The information the owner provided prior to our stay was really invaluable.

We were coming in late on the first day of our stay - I knew we wouldn't have time to make a dinner or the patience to take 2 cranky munchkin's to a restaurant, so the owner recommended ordering rotissery chickens in advance from the Peninsula Market, which couldn't have worked out better.

Although we didn't catch many fish, we had a great time out on our boat - this house is great for boat owners, but I would suggest arriving early enough time to launch your boat before settling in. Backing down the driveway with a boat over 18 feet is challenging. It can be done though! Our's is 21 ft. not counting the trailer and we made it.

This place is great, the weather was perfect, we had a fantastic time, and we will return! This place is money well spent....

This was our first visit to Lake Almanor and we loved this Lakefront Rental. It is home away from home with every amenity you could need. The house is beautifully maintained. We also enjoyed the spacious deck and the lovely lawn leading down to the water. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. We were also provided with lots of useful information from the owners before our arrival.

This was our first time at Lake Almanor and thought it was simply beautiful. The house was gorgeous and had everything you would need. It was very clean and charming. I have rented many vacation homes in California and must say this was one of the best. I would definitely recommend this property to all my friends. We rented a ski boat down the road and spent hours on the lake. We took multiple hikes in Lassen park - including Bumpass Hell. Amazing sites! It was nice to come back to such a relaxing home overlooking the lake after a hard day hiking. We actually had the chance to meet the owners and felt they were some of the nicest people we have met. If we return to Lake Almanor on another vacation, we will be sure to stay here again.

My family and I have stayed at this great location for the last 3 out of 4 years in the summer. It has everything you need for a relaxing and wonderful time on Lake Almanor. It is right across the street from the fine restaurants, stores, and gas station, yet so quiet and peaceful. Lots of deer and wildlife meander through the large yard leading to the boat dock. We always look forward to returning to this home most every July. Thank you to the owners for letting us enjoy their wonderful home on the lake.
