Newer 4500+ square foot home. Gorgeous views of Lake Huron on 3 levels. Fully equipped kitchen, deck, living room, recreation room with 6 x 8 projection screen TV. 5 Bedrooms (4 with queens (1 with additional trundle), 1 with 2 sets of bunk beds. All bedrooms have TV and VCR. Air conditioning, city water, gas grill, cable TV and wireless Internet, ping pong, air hockey, gas fireplace, plenty of parking. 2 futon sofas in recreation area. Lovely Golf course less than 1/2 mile away. Located on secluded point with 6 miles tree lined, sheltered miles to bike, jog, walk.

Great House

The house is simply fantastic. The house is an excellent condition and has breath taking views . This is the best house I have seen in 10 years of vacation in Upper Michigan.

Kids of all ages enjoy this place , as house owners put every possible game to keep them busy.

Probably providing couple of surf boards and kayaks should have made the house a nice addition.

Lastly the house owner is very nice

Large, Comfortable, Breathtaking View

Wow, this place is amazing. It's large and comfortable, and the view is incredible.

This was our fifth year renting the property and we loved it just as much this summer as we did our first summer.

It has everything:
* home theatre
* air hockey
* ping-pong
* tables for jigsaw puzzles
* a kitchen equipped like no other
* air-conditioning for hot, humid days
* a clean gas grill
* a firepit on the sandy beach
* ground-floor bedroom

Plus, there's plenty of seating for playing board games and eating together as a family.

Nearby, we golf, enjoy pizza in town at East Tawas, and tube down a nearby river. There's also great places for early morning and evening walks and bike rides. The backyard is ideal for our croquet games.

In short, thanks for such a clean, well-maintained, comfortable place for our family to enjoy. We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic for Golf Groups

I took a group of 18 men up to this residence for a golf weekend and could not be happier with my decision. The house was spacious and had enough amenities to keep everyone busy while we were not out on the course. I was not expecting what we got for such a great price. The house was gigantic, and there was more than enough to do. The golf course across the street is a great course to warm up on before playing one of the more difficult courses in the area. We played Red Hawk which is about 25 minutes up the road, but was well worth it. Everyone had a fantastic weekend, and we are looking forward to hopefully using this residence again. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice place to get away. Golf is great, and the house is even better.

This place was perfect!

We had four families in town for the Tawas Triathlon Festival in September. The house was big enough for the four triathletes and their families. The kids loved the ping pong table and the air hockey table. It was also nice that the owners have a supply of board games on hand. Everyone loved the beach, of course. The owner was friendly and easy to work with. Picking up the key from a neighbor in Tawas went off without a hitch. The house was clean and well-maintained. We're already planning on doing the triathlon in Tawas again next year and hope to rent this place again!

Huron Homestead - Great Experience

We had 11 people staying in the house and there was plenty of room. The house was clean and well stocked with everything you need. We had a small issue the first day, so we called the owners and it was fixed that evening. We have been renting houses for about 7 years now and this rental has been one of the best. Great swimming for all the kids with a nice clean beach area.

Overall we had a great experience and I hope to be back in the future.
