|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Available July 2013. Apartment located in Montmartre in a lively and charming street, just a few steps away from Sacré Coeur and a small square with restaurants. Best for a couple, but can welcome 3 persons or a family with 2 children. Located on the 4th and last floor of a small building, the apartment will offer you all the comfort necessary for your stay: best quality bedding, new linen, new sofa bed, double glazed windows, dish washer and washing machine, wireless Internet, and cable TV, all with the charm of authentic decoration.
The street (rue Muller) and those around it are located in one of the last true bohemian enclaves in Paris … and still to be discovered. During the day you will take advantage of the peaceful green spaces. At night you will find an arty and trendy vibe and will discover some excellent and reasonably-priced restaurants. The apartment's location also makes getting to Sacré Coeur quick and easy (you are a few paces away from the stairs) and leads you to the “Abbesses” neighborhood, passing through the textile market 'le Marché St Pierre'. The neighborhood, with its “bohemian village”, is the best place to relax after a full day. You will discover real Parisian life in Montmartre, the hippest galleries and ateliers, bars, clubs, and outdoor cafés.
You will find a wide selection of guides on Paris and we shall never be far to return your pleasant stay. You will be welcomed either by the owner or by Annabella (our housekeeper), and we shall keep in touch with you during your stay to help you or advise.
Four of us, two couples in our 60's, spent a week in this lovely apartment. The apartment is compact but well-designed and attractively furnished and was actually quite comfortable for 4 people. We really liked the location. It is close to two metro stations and there are good restaurants, places to buy take-out food, grocery stores and bakeries nearby. We took advantage of the well-equipped kitchen to prepare breakfast every day and many nights we brought prepared food back for our evening meal. We enjoyed having a dining table that seats four people. It was nice to have a clothes washer and a drying rack to do our laundry. Both of the beds were comfortable, there was ample hot water for everyone to shower and the apartment complex and neighborhood were quiet. The owner, who speaks English fluently, was very easy to communicate with during the apartment selection, lease process, met us at the apartment on the day of our arrival and promptly refunded our damage deposit after our stay. This apartment met all our needs and we enjoyed our stay there.
We had a wonderful time staying in this apartment in Paris. The location is perfect - off the tourist path, yet a block from Sacre Coeur. I had never used the Home Away website before so felt like I was taking a risk with my deposit and signing up for this apartment, but I need not have worried.The owner/proprietor was friendly and professional and responsive. The apartment was clean, well organized, and filled with many small and thoughtful details that enhanced our stay even more. I do hope to go back to Paris one day and this is where I would stay.
We have just returned from our wonderful trip to Paris! This time we travelled with our oldest daughter (19) and found the apartment to be perfect for three adults. It looked exactly like in the pictures, was very clean upon arrival and also well equipped. The place is located directly at the stairs leading to Sacre Coeur. After dinner we often went for a stroll to enjoy the amazing view of Paris, as well as the unique atmosphere around Montmartre. It is a very colorful part of town and quite different from the rest of the city. Though staying very close to one of the major sights, the street itself is not very touristy at all. A great place to relax after a busy day! The metro station, bakery and supermarkets are only 5 minutes away from the apartment. Since we traveled by car we also found it very convenient to have a parking garage right down the next street. Parking in rue Muller is also free on weekends and holidays (in case you get lucky to find a spot). There are numerous little bars and restaurant in the area - we can certainly recommend that little cocktail bar at the end of rue Muller (corner of rue Muller & rue Ramey). Make sure you go there during their "happy hour" - it is crowded with locals and truly fun!
Special thanks to the owner Francois! He always sent us an immediate reply upon any request - which made us feel very comfortable, especially during our visit. He was also there to welcome us upon our arrival.
Thanks again for the wonderful time we had at your place, Francois! We hope to see you again sometime soon!
We had a great stay at this apartment. It exceeded our expectations. We had an easy trip from the airport by transit and found the apartment on a quiet building on a quiet street with many restaurants close by. The tourist area of Montmartre is close by but also close (in the opposite direction) is a great "locals" neighbourhood with all the shops selling our dinner ingredients and wine (oh, that cheese shop!!!) We slept well in the comfortable bed and enjoyed using the kitchen.
We walked around the city a lot and only needed to use the metro for a few trips. There were several stations within easy 10 minute walks to the apartment. Montmartre is a great place to stay as everything you need is there and it is lovely to return to this area after wandering around the rest of the city. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to experience Paris from a locals point of view while still being close to the tourist sights. Dali museum and Renoir's garden are such amazing hidden gems!! Thanks Francois for everything especially the house book with your suggested shops and restaurants, you were so right about them!!! All the best to you and your family!
This was the perfect place to stay. The pictures show the flat exactly the way it is, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you need plus more. It felt more like a home then like a holiday flat.
The Sacre Coer is just a 5 minute walk away, so are a supermarket and the metro station,not to mention the shops, bars, and restaurants. Despite all that the flat is not situated in a touristy environment, but rather a local parisian one.
Francois, the owner, was very helpful before and during the stay.
I recommend the place highly and we will be back for sure.
Our family of four (two children, 10 and 13) enjoyed a lovely week in this apartment. The owner was helpful in answering all of our questions and the apartment had everything we needed in order to have a comfortable and relaxing vacation in Paris.
The owner's recommendations of local restaurants was helpful and the couscous restaurant just up the street was fantastic.
The area is very well connected from center of Paris. Our metro stations are Chateau Rouge (line 4), Anvers (line 2), or Abbesses (line 12), all within 5-10 minutes walking. Bus 85 is a great bus route to get to the Luxembourg gardens, St Michel and Notre Dame, but also to the flee market “Les Puces”. Line 80, just around the corner, will get you all the way to the Champs-Elysées, the Eiffel Tower and Porte de Versailles (for the Parc des Expositions). Metro line 12 connects you to Place de la Concorde where you can take a leisurely stroll to the Jardin de Tuileries to arrive at the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, and to the Solferino station where you can connect to the RER C taking your to Versailles.
