GETTING OUT & ABOUT: A visit to Los iAlcazares is a must The largest of the resort towns (and the closest to Tres Molinos) with extensive beaches of over 4 km, again backed by a beautiful flat promenade with lots of different restaurants from around the world. Most of the surrounding towns hold weekly markets where you can pick up a bargain or two.and getting there cannot be simpler.
I was raised in South London with my 2 sisters and brother as part of a large extended family. Since marrying I have lived most of my life in Petts Wood in Kent and have 4 sons and six grandchildren.Since retiring I have moved to Beccles in Suffolk and bought my villa in Spain
We bought this property because the area was so peaceful and yet was near to so many golf courses which was essential as my sons and grandsons are all keen golfers. It was also not far from the beaches and night life when we needed it
The villa was the offices of the construction company and when I saw the covered terrace leading off what would be my dining room I could imagine relaxing out there in the evenings. Also I was able to choose all my fixtures and fittings especially the kitchen.
Tres Molinos is a perfect place to be located as it is accessible to all areas of the Costa Calida. The Polaris world resort of La Torre is just 5 minutes away and offers a selection of bars and restaurants. There are 7 golf courses in the area that will suit any golf enthusiasts. These include Roda, La Serena, El Valle,
La Torre, Mosa Trajectum, 5 minutes away is the Spanish working town of Roldan with plenty of bars and restaurants, banks and supermarkets. In March its Roldan''s festival time spanning a period of three weeks so you can party day and night. There is a fairground for children and teenagers and all sorts of organised events from a bikers show to giant paella tasting. The Costa Calida region has miles of golden sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, rugged mountains and rolling green fields. Murcia enjoys a year-round average temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and is blessed with nearly 3000 hours of sunshine annually. The region is lapped by the waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor, a great salt-water lagoon. The Mar Menor is Europe''s largest lagoon and is easy to explore, with several villages and towns dotted around its coast. This inland sea is contained by a narrow strip of land (known as 'La Manga') which separates it from the Mediterranean Sea. The lagoon is open to the Mediterranean at its tip, but due to it being only 7m deep at its deepest point, it is much warmer than the Mediterranean. In summer, a dip in the Mar Menor can be as warm as a bath! The lagoon is ideal for all kinds of water sports and its warm, shallow water makes it an ideal safe place for all the family. The Mar Menor is surrounded by the resort villages and towns of Lo Pagan with its health giving mud flats and Santiago de la Ribera. These two towns have beautiful beaches and there is a 4km promenade linking the two resorts. Next is Los Alcazares, the largest of the resort towns (and the closest to La Torre) with extensive beaches of over 4km, again backed by a beautiful flat promenade. Most of the surrounding towns hold weekly markets where you can pick up a bargain or two. There are many fiestas going on throughout the summer months in the surrounding areas. The Spanish are famous for their celebrations and most of these are free of charge.
