Casita del Sol y Mar is located just a mile east of the town of Isabel II on one of Bravos de Bostons' little known reef-fringed, sandy beaches. Just a short stroll west on the beach will lead you to the ideal sandy spot where guests can enjoy snorkeling and swimming in the warm inviting ocean. Walking to the east will take you on an endless hike along the sea coast . Other activities within walking distance are the shops, markets and restaurants in Isabel II. Or, the more adventurous may want to visit the bio-illuminating bay, rent mountain bikes, go kayaking, take a hike or arrange for a snorkeling, scuba diving or sports fishing expedition.

Cozy and Comfortable

Debra Polzin Lakewood, CA USA
Review Submitted: January 16, 2010 Date of Stay: January 2009
This was the best place to be on the island. It was the perfect home for the six of us to share. It was right on the beach so you could hear the waves 24/7. The beach in front was great for walking in the morning and evening. The pool was refreshing with a beautiful array of plants surrounding it. This house had all the amenities needed to make you feel at home. Some of the world's best beaches are on this island within close distance to this house. There were six of us in this house for a week and we never felt it was too crowded for all of us. We hope to return one day.

Falling Asleep to the Sounds of the Ocean!

Review Submitted: January 4, 2010 Date of Stay: October 2009
We had a wonderful time! The house was perfect, and the beaches were the most beautiful and secluded beaches in the world, and we've been all over. One of the most amazing things was looking at the stars at night. There is no light pollution, so we sat for hours in the hammock and just starred at the sky. I've never seen so many stars! Amazing! The house was perfectly located, which allowed us to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean.
We were glad that we rented a car because that was a must, and it took us to all of the beaches, and restaurants. Paul was a great guide. He picked us up on time, and told us exactly what we needed to know about the island and all of the best places see and where to eat. We will definitely be back, and this time we may bring along a few of our children.....or maybe not :)
One of the beaches had wild horses, and it looked out into the Caribbean Ocean! WOW! We saw iguanas and other beautiful wild life. While some beaches are calm and shaloow, others are wavy and like somthing out of a movie, where you see two people all alone on the beach. it was really like that. I can't wait to come back!

Thank your for the opportunity to experience Vieques!

Everything we hoped for, and more!

J. C. Afton, Virginia
Review Submitted: December 6, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
A Beachfront Bungalo was everything we hoped for, and more. It was exactly as advertised and pictured on its web site – which is important when you don’t have an opportunity to visit a property before renting it. It was casual, comfortable and accommodating and the new owners have thought of all the little things that make a beach vacation perfect: blender, lots of generous towels, plenty of beach chairs, a cooler, a grill, etc. Even had a washer and dryer so we could pack light and have room in our carry-ons for our snorkeling equipment. There’s a nice snorkeling spot just a few minutes walk from the house and several other great sites within a short drive. The location couldn’t be better: private without being remote, on a lovely beach perfect for long walks, and minutes from superb restaurants and fantastic beaches. The on-island property managers were professional, helpful, and responsive. The garden pool provided a wonderful respite from the sun. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and can’t wait to come back to A Beachfront Bungalow
Best,
Julie

Barefoot Bungalow is so accurate!

Cate O. Austin, Texas
Review Submitted: November 24, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2009
Barefoot Bungalow is so accurate, since we didn't wear shoes the entire time we were there!
We had a wonderful time. Loved the house, the island, the people, and the food. It was all so good and just what we were looking for.

There is not much you could do to improve the house--it fit our needs and expectations perfectly. In fact, we thought having two bathrooms was divine! Everything was in tip-top condition, and you had pretty much anything one could need. We loved having a washer and dryer, so we could pack lighter. And the pool was so special at the end of a busy day. With the sun setting so early, there were a lot of hours between the beach and bed, so it was nice to have a safe place to jump in and cool off right before going to sleep. We also had a wonderful time with the local cuisine. Many of the restaurants were still closed for the slow season, but we did get to Coconuts, Bananas, Duffy's, Tradewinds, Roy's Coffee Shop, Belly Buttons, the sandwich shop in town, the Argentinian place in town (I think Momafongos?), and Coqui Fire. We LOVED Coconuts and actually went there three times. We even got to know some of the staff and saw many of the "regulars" around the island during the rest of the week. There is so much more I could share about all the fun and adventure we had on this trip, but I've got to get back to work (uggg). Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful bungalow with us. Oh, I almost forgot---thanks so much for the sweet and unexpected basket of treats, we especially loved both the coffee and the rum! That was so thoughtful.

You Won't Be Disappointed

drisco New York
Review Submitted: July 15, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Gordon:

I am thanking you from myself and my family for the wonderful time we had at your "Casita del Sol Y Mar". I can't start to tell you what we loved best about this beautiful home. There are so many things that you have done to make this a wonderful vacation spot.

Tom and Alberto were such great managers. They met us at the ferry with a friendly smile and drove us to the home. They were very professional and very eager to show us around. When they took us to the home I was floored as well as my daughter and son-in-law were. The place was beautiful with the view of the Atlantic Ocean from the porch. Everywhere we looked there was beauty. My 2 yr old grandson and 9 yr old nephew fell inlove with the pool. We went early some mornings and collected shells from the waterfront, in front of the home and just strolled along the shoreline.

The best time for me was like 6am when I would go swimming all by myself and reflect on the day before and what we were going to do that day.

If anyone rents this home you will not be disappointed because it is a great place to go. I hope to go there again for vacation.
