El Numero 8 is located right in the heart of the AlbayzÃn. The neighbourhood is the oldest in Granada, one of the oldest in Europe and is registered as a UNESCO world heritage site. The area overlooks the Alhambra which is situated on the hill opposite. It is a very attractive and historic part of the world with small winding cobbled streets that lead to countless quiet plazas. From many of the plazas you can enjoy spectacular views of the Alhambra and the mountains behind it.
The AlbayzÃn existed long before the city of Granada and for that reason still has its own markets, shops, restaurants and bars. It´s like a picture postcard rural village right on top of a bustling city. The city itself is a lively center with a its own European history which is beatiful in itself and only a four minute walk on foot from the hills of the Albayzin.
So if you´re asking if we´re in the centre of Granada, we are, but even better. When you arrive you´ll be amazed by how close we are to everythng while at the same time feeling so far removed from modern civilisation!
