Great for exploring - lough Hyne and Skerkin Island. Sherkin is recommended for a trip over, lunch, fabulous beach. The area is great for a complete mental rest, where people are friendly in good form and welcoming. Easy to make friends, great for kids and adults to go to sailing school, diving, fishing and taking a trip on a rib. Sherkin is well known for bird watching. Baltimore in West Cork is midway between the busy tourist destinations of Dingle and Kinsale.
