The Eixample (Eixample) is one of the most popular districts of Barcelona. It was designed by the developer Idelfons Cerdà, who was based on traffic flow and exploiting sunlight to expand the city. The Eixample is characterized by blocks octagonal houses, its wide streets and residential and commercial character. It is divided into two zones, the Eixample Esquerre (Left) and the Eixample (Dret) law, where you will find a wide range of shops and eateries. The Eixample Esquerre is bounded by the Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça d'Espanya, where is located the Montjuïc exhibition center and the magic fountain. Also in the Ciutat Vella is the Parc de Joan Miró, chaired by the sculpture "Woman and Bird" of this famous Catalan artist, and commercial center of the Sands, located in a former bullring. An apartment in the Eixample Esquerre is an excellent choice for its good transport links, its wide range of services and by being very close to some of the main attractions of the city such as the Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça Espanya .
