The Casa de Valmarinha is located in Almoçageme, in the heart of the hills of Sintra. It holds a staggering view upon the sea, and it is only two steps away from the beach. This old agricultural place of noble past was successfully transformed 20 years ago into its owners' vacation house.

The property went through some recent reconstruction works that finished in 2013. Part of the property is still used exclusively by the family of the owners. The other areas, amounting to nearly 300 square meters, consist of a garage, two spacious living rooms, five different bedrooms, a kitchen, duty areas, a flowery garden and a big pool.

In sum, a fantastic place for up to 11 guests to share the owners privilege of enjoying summer in this beautiful vacation house.

Let us describe the place in more detail.

The house has two large living rooms. The first one has 50m2, with a beautiful floor made out of granite blocks, where a monumental wine press reflects the house’s past.

The second one has its windows turned to the garden and sea through a modern glass facade. There are many chairs, couches and tables, which makes the area ideal to host meals and barbecues next to the pool, in a relaxing summer weekend.

The garage has enough space for two or three cars to park.

The kitchen was completely rebuilt in 2013, being well furnished with all necessary and modern equipment, machines and cutlery.

Last but not the least there is the garden, beautifully composed by an extended grass field, with covered areas from the sun for possible shaded breakfasts or lunches.

A nice pool stands side by side to an old threshing-floor, with a magnificent view to the sea. It is the ideal location to make the likes of both parents and sons alike.

The Casa de Valmarinha can host 11 guests with high comfort standards, thanks to its four double bed bedrooms and its mezzanine area with three individual beds. All bedrooms have their individual charm with first class finishes and large dimensions.

Room 1 - The “Blue room” is a spacious, over 20m2, double bedroom with reading area and fireplace. Moreover it is its terrace with an astonishing view over the sea and garden that give it the privileged sensation of privacy. The terrace is ideal for morning breakfast of reading in the sun.

Room 2 - One level down is a room with over 15m2, with two embedded wardrobes and conformable sofa corner lit by its two large windows that open it onto the surrounding landscape.

Room 3 - On the bottom floor, stands a double bedroom with beautiful visible wooden roof structure and a privileged access to the garden and pool. Just open the door and the grass is becomes part of your scenery; even if you are still in bed.

Room 4 - This peculiar double bedroom is a small nook (5m2) with a double bed and a window that lets the breeze and aromas in when desired. Contiguous to it is a private charming living area with almost 20m2.

Room 5 - This living room also gives access to the mezzanine where 3 individual beds will make your children’s day! A sense of privacy that is easily controlled.

The house also holds two complete independent bathrooms.

THE PERFECT HOLIDAY WITH FRIENDS IN A DREAM HOUSE!

The house was beautiful and charming with all the comfort we expected. The owner was very kind and helpful to give us suggestions of what to visit and where to go. The location was amazing and the little village was also so picturesque. We had great time in the garden where we used to have barbeque lunches and football matches.
If you’re looking for a place to have some rest with friends far away from the city but not too far to feel isolated, Casa Valmarinha is that place.
We loved to stay there and hope one day to come back during the summertime!

Brilliant view, nice little village with all you need (f.e. fresh fish every day), small and lovely beach, hiking tours possible
I would definitely recommend this property to friends who don´t look for ordinary locations, who love things being charming and uncommon. We loved it. It was proper, well-maintained and very friendly customors. A hairdryer and bigger pots could improve it even more.
