Spacious single level 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa on flat plot

Casa Alegre is a luxurious and ideally situated single storey villa on a flat south facing plot within easy walking distance of Moraira’s two main sandy beaches and attractive town centre.

Whilst the beach, bars, restaurants and town centre are all in close walking distance, we do recommend hiring a car for food shopping from the many excellent and well stocked local supermarkets and also to explore the surrounding mountains, lush valleys and the many sandy and rocky coves.

This stunning and spacious Mellini built villa would be the perfect choice for those seeking a quiet yet convenient location whether for couples or families. A gentle five minute stroll from the villa brings you down to a wide array of bars and restaurants with both beaches only three and six minutes walk beyond. Nearby are two delightful and relaxing seafront bars overlooking the town, castle and marina, the Algas and El Chamizo.

The villa has off road secure parking with sliding main entry gate and side gate with evening security light.

Secure Wi-Fi is included at the villa.

Inside, you cannot fail to be impressed by the light and sunny aspect “Naya” which has two double glass door exits leading out onto the main sun terrace. This is a great place to sit, relax and enjoy the wonderful Spanish climate.

The bright and well equipped kitchen is accessed from the Naya and features a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, oven with both gas and electric hobs, fridge freezer and kettle. Under unit lighting illuminates the main work surfaces.

The large lounge and dining area is air conditioned and reached from both the “Naya” and via a sliding door from the kitchen. The attractive light-wood extendable dining table with six matching chairs stands in a large alcove area with illuminated wall mirror. The comfortable lounge suite comprises a three seater settee with two matching armchairs with several side tables. A flat screen 32' Satellite television is provided with a wide range of UK programme choice together with a DVD player.

From the lounge a hall takes you past the main villa entry door to an air conditioned bedroom with twin beds, opposite this is a shower room with sink and w.c.

Continuing along the hall you first reach another twin bedded room with ceiling fan then through a further door into the air conditioned master bedroom which has a double bed and stylish en-suite bathroom with bath, shower attachment, sink, w.c. and bidet.

All bedrooms have double built in wardrobe space and windows have insect screens. There is a substantial and robust safe available during your stay.

Outside, the flat terrace is not overlooked and has an inviting 8m X 4m swimming pool with Roman step entry, the depth of the pool ranges from 3’ (Shallow end) to 5’6” (Deep end ). There is a wrap around shower to change and shower before and after swimming.

From the end of the terrace there are open views towards the mountains behind and the seafront of Moraira town centre. A great spot for that evening “Sundowner”.

The large terrace has ample comfortable sun loungers, tables and umbrella plus an extended terrace area with a “Pagoda” shading the main table and chairs for “Al fresco dining” . A large extendable sun awning can be deployed to provide additional shade if required. There is also a Spanish style barbecue.

The gardens surrounding the property contain a wide selection of palms, cacti, white and pink oleander, bougainvillea and fruit trees.

Lovely clean, spacious villa in excellent location

From booking this villa to our return home, everything about the holiday was excellent. Upon arrival, we found the villa to be very clean and spacious. Everything we needed, was provided for us.

Despite being over 30 degrees, it always felt comfortable inside. However, we particularly loved the outside space. It was completely private and we thought the pool was wonderful. We also loved the outdoor gazebo (not sure if that's the correct word for it) but we spent a lot of time in it keeping cool. Although we didn't use the Naya as it was simply too hot, we imagine this would be lovely in the cooler months.

Many nights we walked to Ampolla beach which was very enjoyable and an easy walk in the evening. We also enjoyed the nearby restaurants which were a mere 2 minutes walk away - we highly rate both The Kathmandu (great Indian food) and Olive Tree.

Overall, we highly rated our stay in the villa. The owners have been particularly helpful in making it an easy booking and a wonderful relaxing week.

We would recommend it to anyone, with or without children. Our daughter loved it, from playing in the pool everyday, to playing the games provided and walking to the beach.

Excellent property in a great location.

Spacious property and well fitted - more like a home than a rental. Very comfortable throughout and great outdoor area, which is excellent if you prefer to eat at the Villa. Well maintained and just as described - we love it and it is our 2nd visit (and we are going again next year). David (the local manager) is helpful and calls round to check to see if everything is fine). It is well situated and close to nice local restaurants (to cater for all choices) and a fantastic bakery shop and fruit/veg shop 10 mins walk away - fantastic for relaxing breakfast. Try the bread from the bakery - excellent (and nice people too). Very quite location and little if any noise. Short walk from the town centre (approx. 20 mins easy walk). Would recommend this to anyone.

Lovely home from home

The villa had everything we needed. It was like a tardis! Good sized rooms, well stocked kitchen and the naya was nice to sit in if it wasn't too hot. Very clean and well kept. Walking distance to Moraira if you don't mind a walk. We did it most days but a slow stroll took 20 minutes. Our only criticism was the shower looked a bit tired and the cubicle could do with replacing but the shower itself was good and powerful and refreshing. Apart from the first day we had beautiful weather and the lovely pool was very welcoming. A great time. Thank you Mike and Sally 😎

Surpassed all expectations. Amazing and delightful

This was our first family holiday abroad with a 4yr old and 2yr old. This villa was just amazing. I remember viewing this property on line but when we walked in on our first day it was even better than expected. A lovely spacious property which has a real feel good factor about it. Every room was clean and in great condition. We did not need to use the A/C during the day but the systems in place were brand new so if visiting in the hight of summer you would definitely keep the inside nice and cool. On the flip side if visiting during the colder months these can be adjusted to keep things nice and cosy. We instantly fell in love with the Naya which had a lovely feel to it. The kitchen was very well equipped and again very clean.

You are very close to the beach and the main town which is beautiful. We walked down with the kids on many occasions. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. It was very family friendly and we can not wait to visit again in the future.

This villa was spotless and extremely well-maintained and we would unhesitatingly recommend it to friends and relations. The rooms are all light, spacious and comfortable, with the Naya ideal for relaxing if weather breezy or cooler or just enjoying an evening tipple. Lighting very good and air conditioning/heating efficient if needed. There is a beautiful pool with surrounding grounds offering plenty of sunbathing areas, a good bbq and large pergola which we used for eating outside and shade on hot days. The villa, tho half way up a hill didn't give us 70yr olds any problems walking to and from Moraira, which is one of the prettiest and welcoming Spanish towns we have visited, with dozens of restaurants (eg El Nido, Chamizo and The Deli), cafes and two superb beaches. Loved our evening walk to El Portet and driving round the Jalon valley circuit. Not enough space to list all the things we enjoyed about this holiday.

Moraira truly the jewel of the Northern Costa Blanca is a small, upmarket Spanish coastal town, part of Teulada municipality, 80 km north of Alicante and 100 km south of Valencia. It is a tourist resort with 8 km of coastline backed by mountains and vineyards. This laid-back resort is ideal for those who want to enjoy the Costa Blanca away from the busier, bigger resorts, yet close enough to enjoy all the fantastic activities that the region has to offer.

The area is very popular with affluent retirees, especially the English. Most visitors to Moraira are Spanish, English, German, Dutch, French and more recently Russian. The local people of Moraira are extremely friendly and patient with foreign visitors, not surprising, as aside from agriculture, they depend on tourism for their livelihood. There is a pleasant international feel to the area. Most people are pleased to speak English with you and even more pleased if a small attempt to speak Spanish is made.

Little remains of the fishing cottages that once made up the little port that serviced the town of Teulada that stands at the head of the valley. Moraira has a privately owned marina built in 1985 and is blessed with a wide selection of stylish cafés within its pleasant streets with many good quality restaurants, including eight Michelin recommended restaurants in the immediate area. The main fish restaurants are located on the front overlooking the small port and fish market (La Lonja) one of the most popular on the Costa Blanca.

Moraira has two main local sandy beaches, which gently shelve away into the Mediterranean Sea; both hold EEC Blue flag awards and are well-tended and very safe for family bathing.

The town itself has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, with old cobbled streets, an impressive marina, excellent variety of local shops, weekly open markets, harbour-side fish restaurants and bars still retaining their Spanish heritage. The gift shops and weekly markets offer everything from locally made arts and crafts to jewellery and clothes.

There is plenty to do in the evenings as well, from family friendly entertainment to sophisticated bars and lounges. Why not catch some live music or watch a traditional flamenco performance.

The Moraira region is also famous for growing Muscatel grapes for wine-making. From the colourful seafront, you can enjoy stunning views across the bay to El Peñon de Ifach, the rock of Calpe, The Moraira valley is stunning. It is full of whitewashed villas and very green with lots of pine trees

For sports enthusiasts - Tennis, football, squash, all water sports, boat hire and trips, horse-riding, go-kart racing for both adults and children, a small fairground and night-clubs for all ages are all available in or close to Moraira. Three large golf courses can be enjoyed within a few minutes drive from the town.

Families heading to Moraira will certainly find plenty to do. You can take the kids on a glass-bottomed boat trip and there are some great theme parks in the area such as the Aqualand Water Park, the Verel Safari Park and the animal Water Park in Mundomar.

Excursions

Easily reached by car are some larger towns which are well worth visiting: Javea, Calpe, Denia, Altea, Benidorm and Valencia. There are many places of interest to see on day excursions, apart from the other coastal resorts there is also the spectacular inland and mountainous environment to discover including the wonderful mountain-top fortress of Guadalest.

A short drive into Teulada gives access to the station for the Lemon Express rail line, where for a few euros, you can travel through delightful mountainous scenery to Denia, Calpe and Altea and also on to Benidorm and even Alicante, an experience not to be missed.

A drive through and around the nearby Jalon Valley is another great option with its stunning views and many charming and reasonably priced restaurants.

Markets and Fiestas

If you like open markets then, aside from the weekly Friday market held in central Moraira, you could plan a visit every day of the week to the various markets held in neighbouring towns and villages. Apart from enjoying the buzzing Spanish activity, you can buy some excellent, cheap fresh fruit and vegetables, local specialities, herbs and spices, leather goods, clothes, rugs, fresh and silk flowers, souvenirs, pottery and a whole variety of other goods.

As in all of Spain there are numerous fiestas (festivals) held throughout the year in the region; with specific festivals held in April, June, July and November in Moraira itself.
