In the 1920’s, a young couple bought this cabin and spent their honeymoon here. Through the years, their children kept it in the family and eventally we obtained it from a 90-year old descendent. We lovingly and beautifully renovated the small 4-rooms into the now, open and spacious, romantic get-away.

Anniversary Vacation

There were so many things that we loved about the Cabin. First, It was great to meet Carol and Don. They we're very helpful and personable. The cabin was beautiful and not too far from all the attractions of Branson, but was also far enough away it was a relaxing escape from everything. The only down side is that there was no DVD or VCR or atleast not that we could find. We loved our trip and we cant wait to return!!!

I brought my wife hear for our 10th anniversary. I am military (recently retired) and had missed so many important dates I wanted to get away with just her and make her feel special, and loved. We loved this place and the owners took such great care of us. Was sorry to see the bad review, but maybe I overlooked some things as some of the places I have had to be were, well... Not good. We are laid back, simple country kids at heart, and this place was quiet, relaxing, and very welcoming to us. We spent out anniversary weekend (valentines day) catching a dinner show, enjoying local eateries, and of course headed to Springfield for an entire day at Bass Pro HQ. We are planning a trip again soon, hope to possibly stay here if it is open then. Thanks alot for renovating this place and putting out on VRBO, we both will always have very fond memories of a quiet snow storm, (had to leave early as they were talking of shutting the interstate, but it was still just breathtaking to watch from the balcony) and watching the winter olympics with a nice fire going! Thanks again, Isaac and Melissa G.

Disappointed

I can't say we were very pleased with our stay. First of all when we arrived the place wasnt very clean. I noticed alot of dust and cobwebs on everything. I decided I would go ahead and clean it so I would feel better so I got the supplies and started from under the sink and cleaned. Since this is shared with the public I like to know it has been cleaned. The bathroom also needed done and there was food in the fridge from the previous person. The dishes were very dusty also. I contacted the owner and she said sorry but that didnt really make me feel better about the place and spending that much money and knowing it wasnt cleaned well. Also, I was expecting a fireplace but it doesnt work it the summer which is understandable. My only other diappointment would be there is a large window in front of the bathtub that has no blind or anything over it so we tried to make something to cover it just in case someone would pull up they would not see us bathing. Our overall experience wasnt very well.
Owner's Response: Tricia, I'm very sorry to hear that you were disappointed. I am too, that you weren't totally happy with your stay. In the six years that we have been open, you are only the 2nd person that wasn't happy. I did want to explain that we cleaned the cabin personally that morning, but I will admit that as a last minute thought, we cleaned the air conditioner filter and that I'm sure was the result of the majority of any dust. Again, I am sorry and I hope this never happens again. We work very hard to make sure your stay is a success. Carol A. Jones

This is the weenend of our first wedding anniversary and we were blessed to spend it here in this cozy, romantic cabin! We honeymooned a year ago in the Northwoods in Minnesota and wanted a woodsy, cozy cabin for a similar feel. This was perfect.
P.S We love the train whistle and the birds!

Sitting up in bed with my husband’s arm around my waist, I read the writings above the fireplace and remember the very moment that I fell in love with him over twelve years ago. We are a true love story that needed a break from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. We truly needed your Cabin of Dreams to finally have the real honeymoon that we missed before. We thank you for this time that we shared here. The time we have had to regroup and rekindle our love for each other.
