Sitting atop a slight hill, backed by acres of rock mountains, this comfortable ranch home has everything you're looking for. The 3 bedrooms, over sized living room and separate office give plenty of space for your family vacation or group retreat. The outdoor hot tub is large enough for your whole party with incredible views of the valley.

Be sure to explore the natural desert flora and fauna including our self-guided nature hike. The sunsets are best enjoyed from the top of the rise behind the house and there is nothing more spectacular than watching a universe of twinkling stars from the warmth of the spa as coyotes howl across the valley. Watch for shooting stars or enjoy our desert landscape and make it a romantic getaway.
About Laura

We fell in love with this place the moment we saw it and so will you! It's so quiet and peaceful and the lovely views change as the sun moves across the sky. We got married in the National Park so it's very special to us. We never tire of visiting and we hope you won't either.

We are located just one mile from West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park and all it has to offer for hiking, rock climbing, biking, horseback riding and exploring. If quiet and solitude are on your list, it is there for the taking.

It is an easy drive to museums, golf, shopping, art galleries and even southern California's famous theme parks. Great local restaurants are nearby for a night out. We are only 45 minutes from Palm Springs and all it has to offer. The Desert House is an excellent vacation rental with something for everyone.

The hike up the hills in your back yard was awesome! The hot tub & stars were enjoyed by all of us! The house was clean & well stocked. We will always remember the Desert House.

Thanks for the hospitality. We loved exploring the park, especially the rock formations. The bonfire was a great way to wrap up the day...at least until the coyote's howls sounded too close for our boys' comfort.
