Totally refurbished from a new roof right down to beautiful tile floors, new bathrooms, and a custom built kitchen we are very proud to offer our second home to our many returning guests. Decorated in the same beach cottage style as our first home with local eclectic furnishings and art, we know families will feel as at home as we do!
The master bedroom has a 'Sealy Posturepedic' King bed and en suite shower room. The second bedroom has Sealy twin beds and the third has a gorgeous Swedish style day bed with trundle pull-out. All the bedrooms have masses of storage. The family bathroom has a shower tub.
The living area is light and spacious, open plan from the front door, with morning sun, to the 'Florida Room' which enjoys the westerly evening sun.
A white custom built wooden kitchen with all new appliances opens onto the dining area which links the two living areas and creates an ideal space for a big family or a couple to relax.
The Florida Room leads out to the enclosed Lanai and pool which enjoys all day sun and, due to a long westerly outlook at the back of the home, the evening rays will light your barbecue.
There is a door from the kitchen to the washer and dryer in the garage, this in turn leads to the sunny, fully fenced garden at the side of the property. Flat screen TVs in the lounge and master bedroom bring you the many channels expected in the US. High speed broadband WIFI and phone, free for local calls is part of our package. There is parking for several cars.
Our neighbourhood is a quiet residential one, off the tourist track, close to the local Amish quarter with its fresh produce market and home made ice cream parlour. The YMCA is a short walk away with gym and indoor pool facilities. Shops and restaurants are just minutes away on the Tamiami Trail. The award winning beaches of Siesta Key are a 10 minute drive.
Beautiful bungalow, very clean and nicely decorated. Very spacious and exactly as the pictures show. The pool is lovely and a good size. To know if you have any problems you have a contact close by is very reassuring. (Even though we did not need it).
We would highly recommend this bungalow. It is situated in a lovely quiet area and the location is central to the sea and shops.
So if you are looking to stay in Sarasota, you will not be disappointed in choosing this beautiful bungalow. We cannot wait until we can return.

The listing for this property is entirely accurate. The property, in a quiet, residential area is immaculately clean as well as very tastefully furnished. The owner's attention to detail extends from small decorative touches which make the property "beachy" yet homely, to the use of very high quality bed linens - a pleasure to slide into at the end of a busy day.
The pool and surrounding area are also spotlessly clean and the pool is professionally maintained on a weekly basis.
Our communications with Susan (the owner) and her daughter Annalise, who lives close by, were never anything but professional, courteous, prompt and friendly.
The property is a real home from home and the owner generously shares with her guests items which would be too bulky with which to travel (such as beach chairs and cooler box). These were a godsend.
For our part, Siesta Key beach was the great "find" of our trip. We hadn't heard of it before traveling. The town itself has a very chilled-out, bohemian feel to it and is buzzing at night with numerous good, beach style restaurants and live music. The locals are genuinely friendly and really seemed to care whether we were enjoying whatever it was we were doing. The beach itself is another pearl. The softest, whitest sand (which is COOL underfoot even in blistering 100 degree temperatures) and the warmest sea we have found anywhere. Bliss!
Our 14 year old daughter's dream came true when we made the easy drive to Clearwater where we visited the Marine Aquarium which is home to the rescued "Winter", dolphin star of "Dolphin Tale" (and soon Dolphin Tale 2), the film which was shot on location at the aquarium in 2010. We highly recommend their marine safari, which is around an hour and a half long. A net is dropped into the water and the catch brought on board (as part of a local research project run by the aquarium) Great care is taken with anything caught and creatures are returned promptly at the end of each trip. There is always the chance to see dolphins in the wild during the trip (which sadly we did not on this occasion, but we did see a manatee). Our trip was lead by a young marine biologist whose phenomenal knowledge of sea life kept us fascinated. I never knew fish could be so interesting!
My only hesitation in recommending this property is the selfish thought that it may become so popular that it may not be available the next time I wish to visit Florida!

We had an amazing stay at this house. Susan was very friendly and quick to answer all my questions. The house itself is in a very quiet neighborhood, not far from the beach, and was well- cared for. It had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. We definitely would stay again in one of the owners houses and we would recommend the house to friends in a heartbeat.
Susan and Annalise were simply fantastic to deal with to accommodate our family sensitivities and allergies to synthetic fragrances and chemicals. They were very understanding of our situation and worked very hard to ensure that the S. Brink Ave home met our needs.
The home was super clean, tastefully and comfortably decorated, and surprisingly spacious given its apparent size from the street view. The pool was very refreshing and nice being connected directly to the house via the covered lanai screened area. No bugs on the patio or around the pool!
Additionally, the house is very conveniently located just about 10 - 15 minutes to beautiful Siesta Key beach, 5 mins to downtown Sarasota, and access to anything you could possibly need within a few minutes drive. Overall, we had an excellent 2 week stay thanks to Susan and Annalise; very good value, indeed!
The house was well maintained and just as described. The layout was perfect for a3 generation family stay.
Susan was very helpful and accommodating. We would stay there again as a family and would recommend to others
A lovely villa situated down a quiet residential lane. Ideally situated for all attractions and amenties for a self catering holday. The villa is in excellent condition with all facilities needed for holiday guests. The pool and the patio area around it is excellent and was well used after busy days out visiting various attractions. The beach areas are a few minutes drive, and the location is excellent for the journey to and frome Tampa. Lots to see and visit. Disney World attractions and Busch Gardens are not too far away. There is plenty of information in the villa for guests to peruse regarding places to visit. There are many eateries just a stones throw away to cater for a variety of budgets. All in all a lovely place to visit and use while visiting the areas around Sarasota.
Only 10-15 minutes from the fine white sands of the Gulf of Mexico and our award winning beach,. Moments from the many fabulous restaurants of the Tamiami Trail. A 10 minute drive will take you to the boutique shopping at St. Armands Key with its fine dining and Lido beach, drive across to Longboat Key and Anna Maria Island for a true Florida Keys experience. The famous Ringling Museum and Mansion, the art galleries of Palm Avenue, the Van Wezel concert hall, orchestra and ballet, the stylish new Selby public library and the many beautiful examples of Spanish architecture dating back to the 1920's all remind us that Sarasota truly is the cultural capital of Florida. However bargain hunters and fashionistas are not forgotten with excellent shopping malls within 10 minutes drive and a huge designer discount mall at Ellenton, 30 minutes away. Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy Jungle Gardens, or a trip to the Myakka River to see the alligators
