Photos and Description of the Spruce Head vacation house rental
2 bedroom, 1queen, 1 double

Two bedroom, 2 bath, house with beautiful ocean views from the yard, deck, and all rooms in the house! Very quiet area. The house is fully equipped with washer/dryer, etc. Fifteen minute drive to Rockland, Camden, Tenants Harbor, Farnsworth Museum, Knox County Airport, Transportation Museum, many great restaurants, and golf courses. Within 1 hour of Boothbay Harbor and 2 hours from Bar Harbor.

House: The house has great water views from every room. The sun raises right out over the ocean each morning!

There are lobster boats coming and going in the small harbor to watch daily.

Yard: The house is surrounded by a very large private yard. Lobster boats are busy in the bay and sail boats and tankers are out further in the channel. There is always something to watch.

Spruce Head is located about 10 minutes from Rockland and about 20 minutes from Camden, Maine. Rockland features many restaurants, movie theaters, and art galleries, including the Farnsworth and Wyeth Center. Camden is a quaint coastal village with many great shops and restaurants. Patten Point is a quiet residential dead end road that is great for walking or jogging on.

Wonderful Maine Vacation

We have stayed at this house for 10 straight summers since our kids were 3 and 1 yr old and we can't say enough about the house, property and surrounding area. Whether a family with young or old kids, or a couple looking for a quiet get-away, this house is perfect.

Very quiet road and setting allows for excellent privacy, and the house has everything you could possibly want for amenities. Reading on the top or lower decks, swimming and jumping of the stone pier, kayaking around the bay and out to the small island, crab and bouy hunting at low tides, playing games on the large front lawn overlooking the ocean, walks with the dog, and more. Then there are the day trips spanning from Marshall Point up through Rockland and Camden (too many to begin to mention here). The area has a lot to offer, including the best beach in the world at Birch Point (please don't tell anyone).

We have some of our best family memories at this house and would highly recommend it for your time away. Very open to talking to anyone that may have questions for us - the owners know how to reach us.

WE JUST LOVED OUR STAY IN SPRUCE HEAD. THE HOUSE WAS BEAUTIFUL, WITH SPECTACULAR VIEWS EVERYWHERE!! WE ENJOYED WATCHING THE LOBSTER BOATS, BIRDS, AND EVEN A SEAL WAS PLAYING IN THE HARBOR ONE DAY!!

WE KAYAKED, AND BIKED AND ATE PLENTY OF LOBSTER!!

WE HATED TO LEAVE!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE, THE OWNERS COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE ACCOMODATING AND WELCOMING!!

The description of the house is completely accurate. Beautiful views, quiet area and 15-30 mins to many restaurants, stores, etc. This was our first visit to Maine and it was a wonderful experience. We kayaked every morning and visited various state parks and attractions. The owners were very accomodating and the house was clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We would definitely visit again!
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
