In the characteristic district of Borgo Pio a few steps from the Vatican, this bright apartment can comfortably accommodate up to seven people. It consists of a living room with a mezzanine and kitchen, 3 double bedrooms, 2 comfortable bathrooms and an equipped terrace. The apartment is on the third floor of an ancient building and is finished with particular care. The floor is original from the '50s as well as most of the items of furniture (especially lamps, very special) founded in antique markets by the owner, passionate about design. It is an ideal apartment for families or groups of friends.
The area is very well connected: the historical center can be reached in 10 minutes on foot crossing the Ponte Sant'Angelo and there is also a bus stop just a few meters away. Around the apartments there are several supermarkets, bars, restaurants and shops.
Upon your arrival you will find maps and useful information for your stay, a handy kit for the toilet, bed linen and towels.

This apartment is in the perfect location, a short walk to St Peter's and the Vatican, close to the Metro and bus stops. The neighborhood itself had all the necessities - grocery store, dellis, trattorias and a pharmacy.
The apartment was immaculate and the manager, Massimus, was very responsive to our needs
The apartment was not what I thought it was going to be: it was twice the size of what we anticipated! That's because the owner was transitioning it from two one bedroom apartments to a single large one!
The whole experience was lovely -
This apt is perfect for one or two people. It has everything you need; dishes, wine glasses, fridge, stove top, cutlery. I loved the balcony! The check in process was very smooth; I was picked up at the airport which I highly recommend! The apt is a couple of blocks away from the Vatican wall! I walked to everything; the Vatican, Colleseum, Parthenon, Trevi Fountain, shops. There were great restaurants, coffee shops and food markets right outside the apartment. The apt is on the third floor, so be prepared for stairs, which I did not mind. It is in a noisy location with traffic and laughter from locals and tourists enjoying themselves. Just part of the charm!
We couldn't fault this wonderful apartment. Beautifully decorated, high ceilings, well-equipped with wifi, cooking utensils and nearly silent air con. Having breakfast on the sunny, spacious balcony started every morning perfectly.
It was in a very central location just minutes from the Vatican, so ideal for tourists. However it was simultaneously incredibly peaceful at night and had an authentic Roman atmosphere. The metro is a few minutes walk, there is a corner shop 500m from the door and an unmissable restaurant (Angelina's) next door. Bukowski's around the corner is also great for a quiet drink in this art gallery/bar.
The owners were very helpful and flexible (we changed check out date a few days before with no problems) and speak perfect English. Usually if something seems too good to be true, it is. Not in the case of this charming and unforgettable apartment. If you're looking for an ideal, beautiful base for exploring Rome, then look no further.
This apartment was very, very nice the people was beautiful The driver from the airport (Daniel) was super. This was a wonder full holiday.
My family of 4 stayed here for 4 nights.
The communication was good when reserving the apt and Massimo was wonderful at getting us settled and checked in/checked out.
The apt was very clean and comfortable. My only issue is that it is suppose to sleep 4, but the bed in the loft was a twin/single (not double as stated) so my son had to sleep on a pallet on the floor.
There was some traffic noise, but it quieted down around 11:00pm or so.
We enjoyed walking to the Vatican and eating Chinese food conveniently located right around the corner. We shopped several times at the market a block from the apt.
We also rented an electric car, buzz4tours.com, just steps from the apt, and that was a great experience which I recommend!
We had a great time in this apartment. It was nicer than we expected it. It was very clean, fully equipped and provided a cosy atmosphere. It is a perfect starting point to discover Rome. You can go very quickly to several places in the historical center. Massimo, from the staff, was a perfect host, very friendly and helpful. If we come back to Rome in the future we would book this apartment again.
Borgo Pio, or more fondly known as ‘the Borgo’, is the tiny, medieval neighborhood just adjacent to Vatican City. The area was redeveloped in the early Renaissance period for pope and patrician-owned homes, creating today’s picturesque enclave. Primarily pedestrian, the Borgo has a continual flow of visitors thanks to its proximity to the Vatican.
The intimate Borgo area is a small enclave immediately east of the Vatican. The Tiber River is its eastern border. Important landmarks in the area are the Passetto, the long, above-ground passageway connecting the Vatican to Castel Sant’Angelo (another excellent point of reference), and Palazzo della Giustizia, the Italian higher court building, at Piazza Cavour.
As stated above, the Vatican is the Borgo’s western border, noted by the large dome of St. Peter's Cathedral. To its north is Prati, a lovely, turn-of-the-century residential neighbourhood. To its south is Trastevere, a vivacious hangout with Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere as its centre. Borgo Pio is easily connected to the centre of Rome, as it just a bridge’s crossing away.
Borgo Pio may be more difficult for getting to know your neighbours, as the area is replete with tourists during daylight hours. However, there are several local shops and small businesses, especially on the eastern side of the area.
Borgo Pio has limited shopping options, and most would suggest heading to Prati’s Via Cola di Rienzo where you will find food markets, clothing and interior stores, cafés and home goods. However, keep your eyes open as you meander Borgo Pio’s tiny streets, as there are several quaint boutiques from bicycles to haberdashery. For souvenir shoppers, around and immediately south of Via della Concilizione are several of Rome’s best souvenir shops, both religious and secular.
Borgo Pio is in a very convenient location, easily linked to all areas by foot, bus or metro. From Borgo, you can easily walk to the Vatican, Piazza del Popolo and the historic centre. ATAC, Rome’s public transportation system, has extensive bus, tram and metro connections.
Buses 23, 81, 280, 271, 490, 492 connect to the Stadium, Ponte Milvio, Monte Mario, Centre, Testaccio, Janiculum, Piazza Venezia, Villa Borghese, and Tiburtina and Termini stations. Bus hubs can be found at Porta Pia/Via della Conciliazione. In addition, you are within walking distance of Piazza Risorgimento, in Prati, with a bus and tram hub. Tram 19 connects to Villa Borghese and Nomentana, with links to Auditorium and San Lorenzo.
