Enjoy the best of both worlds. The cottage, known as the Ice House, has 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath and sleeps 5 comfortably. The screened-in porch overlooks Silver Lake. Head out the front door and you are just two minutes from 3 mile long Popham Beach. See the aerial picture with the X. This beautiful beach offers great swimming, tidal pools, and islands to explore at low tide. Popham Beach is considered one of the finest and longest sandy beaches in Maine. After a hard day at the beach enjoy the outside shower. Linens are not provided. Maine State Park Pass is provided.

Location: Portland and Casco Bay Area < Maine < USA

Nearest Beach: beach at 0.3 Miles
Popham Beach is 15 miles south on Route 209 from Bath. You must visit Fort Popham built during the Civil War and Fort Baldwin built during World War 1. These are located in the village. If you get the chance, charter a boat and go out to Seguin Island which houses the highest elevated and second oldest lighthouse in Maine. There are caretakers on the island to explain the history and take you up into the lighthouse. Other points of interest include L.L. Bean in Freeport and the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath. Enjoy the lobster.
