Surrounded by beauty and tradition, there are also local attractions such as the lively local village of Vila Nova de Cerveira (art village) and fishing harbour of historical Caminha; excellent beaches at Afife and Vila Praia de Ancora, and further a-field the interesting local capital of Viana do Castelo, a must for excellent shops and restaurants. Further still one should not miss the opportunity to visit the historic city of Porto, with its beautiful old riverside quarters and renown Port Wine lodges.
