Targhee Ranch is a multi-level mountain home located on Ski Hill Road in the quaint Western Town of Driggs, Idaho. Featuring 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, Targhee Ranch sits on 2 acres and is only 8 miles from Grand Targhee Ski Resort. You can even check the snow conditions from the living room.
After a full day of one of the many outdoor activities Teton County Idaho has to offer, you and your family can come home, kick back, and enjoy a beautiful Teton sunset from one of several decks which wrap around the home.
The 2000 square foot home was designed with inspiring Teton views, a first class kitchen, in-floor hydronic heating, tall windows and ceilings, and a comfort and style which will say goodbye to your cares and let you enjoy what the wild west truly has to offer.
I enjoy the outdoors...from surfing to duck hunting...I much rather head out on an adventure then sit back and check out the tube. Unless it's college football season and the Georgia bulldogs are ripping it up.
The Owner purchased this house in 2005
The Great outdoors...mountain biking to white water rafting. Teton Valley ID is one of the most spectacular places in the world ! I enjoy the Valley so much I purchased a second home in Driggs, ID.
The beauty of my place is that you can experience a great bike ride, white water rafting trip, and a hike all in the same day. Or you can choose to do nothing and kick back with your favorite book and relax on the deck and let the Grand Teton be your backdrop. Up to you.
Our family of five stayed here for a month from mid-July to mid-August. It was the perfect home base for trips to Jackson Hole and Grand Teton as well as Yellowstone and Craters of the Moon. The garage space was more than ample for our five bikes and camping gear. The house was large enough for the five of us to spread out and have the privacy we needed. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you need. The beds were comfortable as well. The property itself is separated from the neighbors nicely, so we had the privacy we desired as well delightful views from the three decks. The neighborhood was large enough to keep our kids occupied on their bikes without ever needing to go out on Ski Hill Road. Roger was a perfect host and accommodated our every request. Driggs is a perfect small town. Broulims grocery had everything we needed for our two children's gluten-free diets. The local library in Victor allowed us to check out books and videos. There are so many great hikes and biking trails in the Targhee National Forest just outside Driggs and Victor that one doesn't even need to go to the National Parks for great adventures. Definitely do the hike up to Wind Cave, and once you're adjusted to the altitude, take a day to hike up Table Mountain. They are not to be missed. The Brakeman Grill in Victor has the best burgers in America. Grand Teton Distillery has the greatest vodka on the planet. The local rodeo is tons of fun. The weekly Music on Main in Victor is fantastic. And everyone must catch a double feature at the Spud Drive-In. I miss my mornings on the porch drinking coffee and watching the hot air balloons and Warbirds planes flying overhead with a view of Table Mountain and the Grand Tetons in the background. If we ever make it back to Idaho, this is where we'll want to stay again!
We spent a week here with another couple. The home was clean and comfortable and the owner was very attentive to all our questions. The setting is spectacular-- beauty in all four directions. Driggs was a charming, fun town. The fishing, hiking, and wildlife spotting was great!
This was a gorgeous house with wonderful views of the Tetons. The house was very spacious and a nice place for a family get-together. The location right off ski hill road made it a perfect jumping off point for hiking and biking, and was close to Driggs and Victor. The owner, Roger, was very helpful and responsive. We're looking forward to a return trip!
My wife and I both needed a place to rest and relax with family and this home was just "what the doctor ordered". Just off the beaten path north east of Driggs, it was close enough to town and surrounding tourist spots (Jackson Hole, Grand Teton NP, and Grand Targhee NP) yet out of the way, secluded and most importantly for us, quiet.
The Teton Valley is beautiful in its own right. The view of the Grand Teton from living room, kitchen and back porch are phenomenal. The Aspen trees in the back yard provided a great source of shade over the porch during lunch and supper. The house was very clean, comfortable and roomy. The owner answered all our questions and delivered what was advertised. We hope to make more visits in the years to come and would highly recommend this property to others.
With 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, this house was perfect for a week's stay in July with two other couples. We enjoyed the spacious living/dining area and the deck with its fantastic view of the Tetons--the perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day and enjoy watching the neighborhood fox search for his supper. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, the house was well-supplied with eating utensils and cookware, and the price was reasonable. Another plus is the location--a short drive into town in one direction or to Grand Targhee ski resort in the other.
