Nokomis Beach is 1/2 mile away! Nokomis Beach, Sarasota County's oldest public beach, is located on Casey Key directly west of the Albee Road Bridge. The park includes 22 acres with 1700 feet on the Gulf of Mexico and 3200 feet on the Intracoastal Waterway. There's an on-site snack bar serving sandwiches, snacks and cold drinks. The beach's amenities include: restrooms, concession pavilion, small picnic shelters, boat ramp, boardwalk and deck, dune walkovers, life guards on duty all year. Attractions beyond Nokomis Beach include the attractions of nearby Sarasota, such as the Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Mote Marine Aquarium, Selby Gardens and cruises on the Sarasota Bay.
