House has two bedrooms downstairs with a queen bed in one and two twins that can be converted to a king in the other. The upstairs is a large open skylighted 16x31 ft loft bedroom with a queen bed, futon, cable TV, VCR and will accommodate a crib etc. The kitchen opens out to a 12x15 ft screened-in 3-season porch with a full size table & chairs. Screen porch opens to the deck which has a gas grill.
House is a short walk to the beach (Bay side). I am not kidding on this. The average person can leisurely walk to the beach within 2 - 3 minutes carrying a cooler and/or beach chair. Please note that the beach has a stairway with approx 25 steps down to it. The beach is a private association beach used by approx 30 houses and is uncrowded. If you want the crowds, First Encounter & Cole Road Beach (both public) are nearby. Cape Cod Bay is warmer & shallower than the ocean side and is great for families.
This is our first year renting our property and have had positive comments from our renters. We have rented all prime time weeks during the summer of 2003 except for one week. Out of 7 weeks rented by outside parties, three have expressed interest in coming back next year.People have commented positively on the condition of the home, the landscaping and especially the screened porch where people spend the majority of their time.We also provide linens for the beds (if desired) and fans (5) for the renters convenience. The private beach is very close and very open, my family spent a week in August there were impressed with the room between families. We also met people there who have been renting in the area for many years.
This house was perfect for two families. Adults downstairs and kids up in the loft...plenty of room. Beautiful back yard and a short, safe walk to beautiful bay side beach!
We strongly recommend this property. There are many positives in renting this property with the first being the owner's honesty and great communication. The property itself is spacious and clean. You will enjoy eating outside off the kitchen which is screened to protect from mosqitoes, etc. To just sit there eating your breakfast, etc and enjoy the view of the backyard along with the many birds who fly in and out is very relaxing. Also, literally a 2 minute walk with access to a private beach where you can enjoy low or high tide, sunrise or sunset is great (otherwise up until 4pm you typically pay $15 to park at public beaches). With a washer/dryer provided it is helpful if you want to get some laundry done as well. We would stay here again.
