Additional information:
Alcossebre is a small town adjoining Las Fuentes with its marina and attractive promenade. There are many bars, restaurants to suit all tastes and cost. The town is quiet off season and the beaches are empty. During the season there are boat trips from the marina to Columbretes (small volcanic archipeligo) available. There are also paddle boats, windsurfing, catamarans, jet skis and scuba diving available. The beaches are very clean with Blue Flags, safe swimming for the young and not so young. Drive up to El Pino and see the views of the coast Alcossebre and Las Fuentes and the countryside.
Points of interest: Alcala barroque church, Castillo de Xivert, old Arab fort which overlooks the valley. Fiestas: Sant Joan (23 June) saints festivals (end of August), Moros y Christianos (end of September). In Valencia - La Tomatina Tomato Festival (end of August), Paella festival (September). Interesting trips: Morella and Tinenca de Benifassa

Car Hire is reasonably priced using either international or Spanish companies.
Excellent train service from Barcelona to Benicarlo, and Valencia to Castellon and Alcala de Xivert
