Lake Kanasatka Vacation Rental cottage

I have rented at Burtons Lakeshore Cottages for about 6 years, and can't imagine another place I'd rather go. Lake Kanasatka is very peaceful, and really perfect for paddling around in the morning. (I bring my kayak up) Ron keeps the cottages in excellent condition, and keeps the property spotless. There is a beautiful garden by the beach, and there is a mosquito trap nearby, so bugs have never been a problem. I would recommend this property to my family or friends in a heartbeat. These are cottages, though. They are not houses, they are not terribly modern. They have nice small kitchens, which are fully equipped (range, fridge, microwave, pots, pans,etc). We've stayed there as a family with teens, and had no trouble finding things to do, and my husband and I have been up there alone, and had no trouble occupying ourselves. We take bikes and kayaks with us, but we've also rented a kayak in Center Harbor. Jet skis are not really welcome on the lake, and there is no place to launch/keep a motor boat at the property. I consider this to be one of the strong points. Every year that we've gone up there, there have been at least 3 loons resident on the lake, which is really neat. The Loon Center in Moultonboro is a great place to visit, and Ron always has the current "what is going on in the lakes region" brochure available.
