Our apartment is situated in the centre of the Col de Merdassier ski resort, a satellite of the La Clusaz ski resort. The apartment is at 1500 meters altitude, assuring good snow. The resort is primarily a family oriented resort with ski school (6 -70 yrs), ski creche (3-5 yrs olds), tourist office, sports shop, bars, SHERPA supermarket, 3 restaurants, launderette, cash point, bakery and doctor's surgery all within 50 yards of the apartment. You ski to and from the ski locker room! The resort is a truly French resort with a fantastic friendly atmosphere. The Manigod tourist office claim the valley is amongst the most beautiful in the Alps. They are wrong: It is THE most beautiful valley in the Alps! The skiing is good for beginners and intermediates .... but, if you want serious off-piste through gully, trees and rocks, we have lots of that too. There is a nice run into La Clusaz by a 6 mile blue run, too.
