My husband and I live in a small rural town, Harwinton, located in the Northwest corner of Connecticut. We live in an old church/ schoolhouse built in 1783, complete with a bell tower! We own a shop called Lavender Path Antiques and Books, we have been rescuing, restoring and passing on antiques and books for over 24 yrs. Our bookshop has over 20,000 used, out of print and rare books. Check out our website for a peek of what Lavender Path is all about and see our passion for our historical home and shop.
We bought this delightful little get-away in North Truro because of the peace and serentiy of this small town on the Cape. This is really 'Ole Cape Cod' at it's best, full of open space, uncrowded beaches and woodlands, similar to our small town of Harwinton in Connecticut. We have been vacationing in Truro for over 40 years. This area is a mecca for creativity, artists and writers can enjoy the solitude and beauty of this natural area.
Our cottage is a very special place to us, it is small but cozy, perfect romantic get-away for a couple. From a fully equiped kitchen to lots of books, old-fashioned board games, a delightful outside shower, and peaceful surroundings, so close to all area beaches, either the warm quiet, Bay side beaches or the open Atlantic Ocean side beaches. With the great restaurants and Provincetown nightlife just 5 minutes away.
In a small cottage compound, old style Cape Cod-- on scenic route 6A that runs along the bay- quiet and cozy --yet Provincetown nightlife a shuttle bus ride away - possibly some of best beaches on all of Cape Cod, chose either bay or ocean side or fresh kettle ponds.
Other Activities: Truro and Provincetown restaurants and nightlife with bus shuttle door to door
