Built in 1860, the Kinderhook Creek House sits along a 500 ft section of trout stream. Fully furnished in elegant taste, this magnificent home offers a gourmet kitchen, 1 king bedroom, 2 queen bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, and an extra-large den with 2 bunkbeds. Complete with linens, 3 satellite TV's, a DVD player, stereo, bikes, coal stove, and a 600 sq ft multi-level deck overlooking the stream, this is truly a luxurious home! Maid and chef services are available (extra) upon request. Well-behaved dogs are happily welcomed. Just 7 minutes from Jiminy Peak, 20 minutes from Williamstown, and 20 minutes from Tanglewood, our location is ideal. People who have stayed here come back again and again.

Location: New York < USA

Jiminy Peak Skiing is only 7 minutes away. Fishing in your own trout stream, and acres of trails to hike, bike or climb. Williamstown, home of Williams College, the Clark Williamstown Theater, and a million great restaurants is only 20 minutes. Mass MOCA is another few minutes from there. Tanglewood, the home of the Boston Pops in the summer, is also 20 minutes. There are many antique stores and auctions to go to, you will never want for an endless number of things to do. If you love the outdoors, there are numerous lakes to paddleboat, rowboat, canoe, swim, etc, which is only 5 minutes from the house.

We love the Kinderhook Creek house! Every year it's our time to spend together and in complete relaxation in a truly special setting. We spend many hours just reading, listening to the beautiful creek in our back yard while the kids splash, explore and fish.Jayne, the owner is a warm, considerate, kind person that does everything she possibly can to make our experience great. She also loves pretty things and the house and the decor show it. The house fits our large family, (9kids) perfectly. We love the convenience of making our own breakfasts and then eating out every night in one of the many many restaurants that are very easily accessible to us. This year we also visited the Norman Rockwell museum, ( 20 min ), the beautiful Clark Museum, the Hancock Shaker Village, Jiminy Peak, (an absolute blast this year on the Alpine slide). We enjoyed two easy beautiful hikes at Bartholomew's Cobble and the Bash Bish falls. We highly recommend this property.

The Kinderhook House was very charming. The layout worked well for a large group and the downstairs den was perfect for our children. The owner has very good taste in decorationg and was very accomodating to our needs. We had an excellent experience.
