Great Rental

We really enjoyed our stay this summer (2009) at this property. This charming home is in pristine condition, has a great open design, and is very well-decorated with really stylish and cute touches. It feels beachy and modern -- not like the owner just dumped odds and ends furniture in it like some rental homes. The vaulted ceilings also made it feel really spacious for my husband and I, my mother, and our kids (3 yrs. and a newborn (2 months)).
The layout worked out perfectly for us with the attractive master bedroom (and full bath) for my us (with the baby in pack n play) and our daughter in the twin bedroom just next to us on the top floor. (She is young and is always in and out of our bedroom so having her cut through to use the bathroom was fine, but it's something to keep in mind depending on who stays upstairs.) On the main floor, my mother had a comfy, beautiful Queen bed away from the kids' noise and baby cries upstairs (plus she loved not having to share the full bathroom). With the open layout, we enjoyed talks on the comfy living room furniture and in the gorgeous kitchen -- although the weather was so great our week that we went to many island's beaches and towns most days. The location was very convenient and the street was quiet from noise and traffic.
While the yard --with its patio, flowers and Adirondack chairs was pretty and relaxing-- the only downsides we had was that we wished we had an outside patio table and chairs set to eat our favorite Vineyard treats and grilled foods around and the backyard could have been a little bigger for our running 3 yr old. That said, I highly recommend this house (our friends had lots of compliments too) and we would definitely stay again.
