The nearby cranberry bog adds to the quintessential Cape experience. Ask for floor plan and you tube video! The home is one of three houses on a quiet dirt road, also a cul-de-sac. There are large front and back yards (plenty of room for lawn games) and house furnishings are casual and comfortable. Each side of the cottage has a kitchen (one is kitchenette) , and also a living room for each end of the home. There are large patio tables on each of the 2 decks and lounging chairs around property too. Stroll to the beach is seven lots on dirt trails. A/C units make things comfortable if the bay breezes aren't enough. Sandy trails, wooded setting, walking distance to Brewster General Store all the makings for a step back in time, unforgettable vacation.
Remember, the beach is private so in addition to no crowds, no need to bring your beach equipment back and forth, just set it in a neat pile at the end of the day.
The walk to Brewster Coffee Shop for a great breakfast is easy and scenic - walk past the cranberry bog. If it's early enough in the am you can see the sprinklers watering, a beautiful scene.
Experience the magic of the Brewster flats - it's like no place else on earth. Fresh water streams, phosphorescence, tide pools, and great for making sand castles or playing whiffle ball.
The beach is a wide sandy beach and is said to be two miles of flats at low tide. Best of all, there are spectacular sunsets, not visible from some other beaches in Brewster.
The Brewster Coffee Shop, Brewster Fish House and The Brewster General Store are all within easy walking distance. Also Chillingsworth and Bramble Inn - excellent dining choices. Ask for tips on getting reservations without a wait.

About Maura and Jeff Dey
Remembering the magic of the flats from childhood vacations in Brewster and having returned for family gatherings, Jeff and Maura purchased this property in 1998 after a thorough search of the area. 'We love the wooded setting, sunsets on the private beach, country lanes, all within walking distance to downtown shops. The Brewster vacation experience hasn't changed much since the sixties and buying penny candy at the General Store with wide plank floors is a must do at every visit.'
Maura and Jeff Dey purchased this house in 1997
Why Maura and Jeff Dey chose Brewster
Brewster is on the Cape Cod Bay, a very uniquely tidal bay. There are so many options for to do's with Nickerson State Park, fresh water ponds, the famous rail trail, art studios, antique shops and much more. Brewster has a large percentage of open space and does not have a major grocery store in-town allowing for a quaint feel. This property is tucked away a bit, located at the end of the cul-de-sac offering privacy but still proximity to beach and downtown. The yards are large for summer games and multiple decks, kitchens, sitting areas etc. offers lots of options. The property uniquely has city water, natural gas, and a full basement which makes it available for year round use.
What makes this house unique
Easy walk to Brewster Coffee Shop, Brewster Fish House, Brewster General Store and more. The beach is appropriately named 'Sunset Beach.' And, the cranberry bog nearby really completes the quintessential Cape Cod experience.
