Description of the Wellfleet vacation house rental
Lovingly restored in 2002 and 2003 by its owners, this 200-year-old cottage is nestled in a grove of Locust Trees, situated on the banks of Wellfleet's historic Duck Creek. The 3 bedroom, nook-filled home boasts rare views of the Duck Creek marsh and its wildlife, and gives vacationers a multitude of indoor and outdoor options for privacy and relaxation. A large kitchen provides everything needed to create a meal worthy of the home's formal dining room, yet it offers a comfy spot from which to enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a pastry from the bakery located right across the street.
Whether it's enjoying the nature from the home's 200 square foot screened in porch, relaxing in the backyard under shade-bearing trees, or sinking into any of the home's comfortable sofas, chairs or beds to read a book, the home affords amenities for young and old.

With only 2 1/2 miles separating it from the beaches dotting the Cape's Atlantic side, the cottage's location is hard to beat.
As a rare rental property located in the heart of Wellfleet, the town's daytime and evening charms - from pastoral strolls through one of Cape Cod's remaining fishing villages to renowned galleries and restaurants - are all within walking distance.
The home's location is appreciated by Wellfletians who know it as a prime spot for watching 4th of July fireworks. The Wellfleet tradition of kayaking through Duck Creek on the full moon can be easily enjoyed as Cape Cod Bay ebbs through the marsh grass that is the home's backyard.

Downstairs there is an enclosed sun porch with beautiful views of Wellfleet's Duck Creek, as well as a backyard patio behind the house with different views of the same marsh.
There is a formal dining room and a spacious kitchen.
The house is 160 years old, historically renovated, and in wonderful condition. We put air conditioning units in the upstairs sleeping quarters to ensure guests' comfort.
