SPACIOUS, SUNNY VACATION HOME IN SURFSIDE BEACH AREA

We just returned from a delightful week in Nantucket. Admittedly, perfect weather set the stage for our enjoyable stay, but accommodations that met our needs and expectations certainly played an important role. With 3 people in our party, we enjoyed spreading out, agreeing that there was easily room for an additional 3 or 4 people.
This house is in a perfect location. (a quieter part of the island but with access to everything.) It was well equipped, clean, and comfortable for a fair price by Nantucket rental standards... and the landlord is a very nice person. My husband's favorite feature was the outdoor shower, mine was the well equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable and provided linens were very good including the bedding, towels and beach towels!
The house sits just off the bike path to Surfside, and the beach is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute bike ride. We did not bring a car to Nantucket, so location is important. Shuttle stops on the Surfside line(Daytime only) stop less than 5 minutes away and the Miacomet Loop shuttle stop is an easy 10 minute walk day and till 11:20 at night. Stop and Shop was an easy bike ride and we enjoyed biking to beaches at Surfside, Miacomet, and Cisco. With a little map sense, we found our way to Siasconset, Bartlett Farms(which we love) and Cisco Brewery as well as East Coast Seafood. Using bike baskets and backpacks we were able to carry all the groceries the 3 of us needed! On a few occasions we used taxi's and with a call ahead, there was no problem getting one.
We will definitely come back to this house a 2B Gladlands Ave. and we would recommend it to others without reservation. Adults who like to bike do not need a car to stay here, but if you are a family with small children, you would probably enjoy having a car.
