DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE

If you have a family, do not rent this house. They will keep your security deposit for furniture not reset to original positions and not recycling the garbage perfectly. I have rented homes on the Cape my entire life, so I know the difference. There is no "walk the trail to a picnic area on the beach" as stated. The attractive sounding "sleeoing loft" is tiny and certainly not comfortable for two. The sleeper sofa is disgusting. The place is ant and insect infested, causing a lot of headaches with a house full of girls. The driveway doesn't hold two cars and the untrimmed branches fron the adjacent trees scrach up your car. Believe me there are a lot of fine rentals in Truro, but do yourself a favor and avoid this one. This owner just doesn't get it.
Owner's Response: Check in time is 4PM as stated in lease agreement and other house information to allow for changeover cleaning.
Driveway comfortably accommodates two automobiles.
Branches scratching car is not an issue unless you drive into the woods.
There is a lovely picnic spot with a 180 degree, high view of the Atlantic ocean which is accessible by a path through the woods which can be reached by walking down Union Field Road and then via a path between two concrete markers.
Fold out couch in 3rd bedroom, which is set up as a den is a Land's End Queen-size sofa bed which was professionally cleaned and scotch guarded last year.
Sleeping loft is advertised as an additional sleeping space if needed and is not presented as a bedroom. It contains a twin size bed which can be deconstructed to create two twin mattresses, suitable and fun for most children. This loft also contains a full size window and a skylight and open up to the cathedral ceiling overlooking the dining space (see oictures provided).
Separating garbage from recyclables is expected and all the containers and bags are provided to make this a no-brainer. Recycling is the law in TRURO as in most places these days. If the owner is charged a fee by the trash haulers for separating garbage and other trash from recyclables, this charge will be passed on to the renter.
Ants and other bugs are a common problem in a community built on sand and the house information clearly states that the owner wishes to be notified of any issues so that action may be taken. The owner cannot address that which they are uninformed about.
This is my home and I take care to keep it maintained, equipped, and cleaned for the comfort, enjoyment, and safety of all my customers..
