Lovely apartment

  • 5 of 5

This lovely apartment proved to be a great operating base for our cultural holiday. South Kensington museums are around the corner and others like Tate Modern or British Museum are easily reached by tube, because South Kensington tube station is only a 5 minutes walk away. Nice bistro's, pubs, supermarkets and late night stores in the neighbourhood. We prefer traveling by train (Eurostar) and the Piccadilly line from St Pancras to South Kensington makes this apartment very easy to reach. But we understand from the advertisments in the tube that taking a flight to Heathrow may be even a better connection ;-). The hostess was very helpfull and made sure we hade a great stay. We will certainly recommend it to friends or anyone else who wants to enjoy a great time in London, culturally, as we did, or otherwise.

In the heart of London!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at his lovely flat situated in the heart of London! Location is just perfect and easy to reach, 5 minutes walk from South Kensington Tube Station, and the area is safe and quiet. The flat is spacious for 2 persons, with a large bathroom, the place is very comfortable and equipped with everything you may need to get some rest or to cook something for breakfast and dinner.

Petra even left cookies, water, milk, coffe and many other things for us to eat and drink, which was a very pleasant surprise adding extra value to the place.

The rooms are very clean, there is plenty of towels and blankets to use and the wifi is quick and easy to use. The small patio with a table and 2 chairs is lovely and full of plants, and it makes up for the absence of windows in the house.

There are many shops, restaurants and museums at walking distance, including Hyde Park and the Natural Science Museum, while Harrods is just 5 minutes bus away.

Queens Gate and the main entrance door of the building are wonderful, and they gave our stay that perfectly English stile atmosphere we were looking for.

Petra is very kind and helpful, always ready to assist in case of need, and communication with her is very easy.

We truly enjoyed our stay here and this place will surely be our first choice for our next holiday in London!

Thank you Petra, we hope to see you soon!

Perfecto. Muy bien ubicado

  • 5 of 5

An Excellent Choice!

  • 5 of 5

I have just returned from the best of all my visits to London, and a good part of it was due to having such a pleasant place to stay. You cannot beat the location, a very safe neighborhood with all types of restaurants and shops AND only a block away from the South Kensington Tube station (which has 3 major lines). I recommend Aux Merveilleux de Fred at 88 Old Brompton Rd. (one block away from the apartment) for brioche for breakfast. The studio is more spacious than the photos show (lots of room for our 3 suitcases) and it was a nice surprise to find such a large bathroom. One evening it was warm (not hot) and it was so nice to be able to open the French doors to the patio and sleep with a soft breeze instead of turning on the fan. It is a very quiet patio, and we could not hear anything from the street. Petra is a wonderful host and left milk, coffee, wine, etc., for us. This will be my #1 choice for my next visit to London. Thank you Petra!

Lovely studio apartment!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely property - very well kitted out. Comfy large bed, a terrace to sit out in and very quiet. I was surprised how quiet the apartment was, considering it's a busy area. Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. It was a very pleasant change from the aparthotels that can be quite impersonal and lacking in any personality. What was an extra lovely touch was that Petra had kindly included some luxury extras that were very much appreciated after a long day of travelling to get to London - very thoughtfully done...red wine, cookies, shower gels, facial wipes. I was very impressed with this. The location is great - 15 mins from Hyde Park and a 5 min walk to supermarkets, tube and cafes and bars. So all in all, I would highly recommend this property and for me, it was very good value. Thank you Petra! Really enjoyed.

Lovely flat in a good part of London

  • 4 of 5

My friend and I shared this flat for three weeks while vacationing in London. The flat was clean, easy to get to, and was in a good part of town. I never felt unsafe walking around the area (South Kensington) and everything was easily in walking distance. The Tube station is about 5-10 minutes walking distance and across the street from the station there is a Starbucks and a Pret-A-Manger. There's a small Tesco down the street as well as a bank and an assortment of small restaurants, shops, and bars. Everything is extremely accessible. The science museum and a few others are extremely close and if it's chilly outside, you can get to them from the Tube station. Marli and Petra were very helpful and friendly. The only downsides of the flat is that it is quite expensive, (but that's to be expected in London, especially in this area) and it is very small. It's one small room with a kitchen area, desk, and sofa bed and then a small bathroom. The pictures make it look bigger than it is because the sofa bed isn't pulled out, but the bed takes up most of the space. I would absolutely stay at this property again and I'd recommend it to anyone who has a little bit of extra money to spend. Last thought- I wouldn't suggest staying here if there are more than two of you and/or if you're not okay with staying in very close quarters to the person you're travelling with.
