San Gimignano Apartment Rental Photos and Description
3 Bedroom, 2 bathroom with Tuscan countryside view
The small village is surrounded by a private park as large as one hectare, immersed in olive groves, fruit trees and local plants. A swimming pool with salt water (12 x 6m) is located at the top of a hill in a most exclusive and intimate spot with 1st breath-taking view over the Tuscan hills in front of the ancient towers of San Gimignano. The “Chiesetta di San Pietro” was built in the 10th century along the Frankish Route, the ancient road used by so many pilgrims on their way from Canterbury to Rome before embarking to Jerusalem. Just a few steps away from San Gimignano and from the top of a small hill, you will find yourself completely overwhelmed by the surrounding Tuscan landscape and overlooking the valley where the Chiesetta was built more than 10 centuries ago. Bellavista, Il Portico and La Capanna will be the houses for your Tuscan holidays: The most beautiful places of this region can be reached from this quiet little village in very short time . Used as a rest stop along the pilgrim roads in the Middle Age, the Chiesetta (old church) with the adjacent farmhouse and barn were given by Count Ugo, the son of Uguccione, to the monastery of Santa Maria a Morrona on 6th of May 1109.

Guestbook comments from the manager
We booked to stay in the Sant Pietro Bellavista apartment and had a wonderful holiday with my husband and our 9 month old son. The views from our apartment were amazing and the furnishings were nice and rustic with everything we needed supplied (including a welcome hamper upon arrival). The only couple of downsides to our stay was that the weather wasn't great (we were expecting non stop sun but it was pretty overcast most of the time which meant we couldn't make use of the lovely pool) and the fact the whole apartment was covered in stone flooring which meant that our baby couldn't crawl around as much as he'd have liked. All in all though we would recommend Sant Pietro to anyone that would like a rural base to discover beautiful Tuscany.
