This private, cozy, year-round, cottage for two perches on a rise amid four wooded acres overlooking Coast Guard Beach in the Cape Cod National Seashore. Kitchenette with two-burner stove, microwave, toaster oven, electric frying pan, blender, BBQ, and refrigerator. The beach and ocean, a three minute walk away, can be viewed from the deck, the bed, the dining table, or the living room couch. Bicycle trail nearby. Birds and wild animals galore. Nauset marsh nearby. Seashore Visitors' Center two miles away. Numerous restaurants to tempt the palate.

Excerpts from the 'Log' say more than ads:: '...We saw the turkeys and chicks, Baltimore Oriole, the pair of cardinals, and seals at the beach. No fox or dear this year. We spent lots of time relaxing on the deck reading, walked the beach. Enjoyed great food at Finely JP's, Blackfish, Sam's Deli & ice cream at Nauset Ice Cream. Wish we could stay longer. Alas, must go back to work.' from New Hampshire '...we were able to slow down from our usual routine and enjoy many things: the birds, deer, rebbits, turkeys and their babies, walks, the ocean, CC Museum of Art, some local friends, books (Jeff - 4, Deb - 3), etc.. I broke my rule of 'no TV or news' on vacation and watched a little to keep up with the campaign, especially Hillary's 'exit' speech. Ski: You could probably rent a jet ski from Nauset Marine if you get tired of the peace and tranquility of Katudala's. But, I would suggest a kayak. You'll love it and the wildlife, and maybe a little neck on the half shell on a sand bar.

Golf: Try Highland Golf Links, overlooking the Atlantic in Truro...an experience you won't forget!

Quiet and cosy

We've been visiting Cape Cod since the 70's and love it! This time we wanted to be on the "Outer Cape" and to be on the ocean. This place is real; it is almost on the ocean , in a State Park, near everything but away from everything!!! A good value for the price and well maintained.
Nice furniture, big deck and awesome view!! A notch over the typical "cabin" you feel as in a home. The owners are close by for anything you need to know but super discreet! Perfect for a romantic getaway in the beautiful nature of the Cape!
Owner's Response: The only thing I would add to the comments is that we are in the Cape Cod National Seashore (which posesses numerous assets of its own) instead of a "State Park". Otherwise this biligual couple has highlighted some key features of Katudala's.

When Can I Go Back!

An incredible weekend getaway! Perfect location for a cycling and beaching holiday. We were a little concerned when we realized the cottage was connected to a home, we were looking for a stand-alone cottage but the place felt like it was all by itself. The owners gave us complete privacy.

The location is perfect -- a short walk to Coast Guard Beach. A bike path leads from the beach parking lot up to the Salt Pond Visitor Center -- Go across the street -- up the road and you come to the Cape Code Rail Trail.
The CCRT is incredible!

The on-line description is accurate. The property was clean and well-maintained. I would, and have, recommended this property for next year -- they are booked until late September! Comfy King sized bed!
Pots, pans, dishes are plentiful and very good quality.

There is a Cinema and a Drive-In within 3 or 4 miles for night activities. Several mini-golf places. Though dinner at home on the deck looking out at the ocean is a must-do.

The property is on the upper Cape but close enough to the larger mid-Cape towns without the traffic congestion.
Pulled pork sandwiches at the BBQ place in Wellfleet - YUM!. Bike Rentals at Idle Times -- reserve road bikes early but plenty of hybrids. We had the road bikes which were great on the CCRT - not so much on the Provincelands as that path is bumpy. Hybrids for comfort; road bikes for distance!
