This is a split level, one-bedroom apartment on the 1st floor (not ground floor) of an end-of-terrace Victorian house. It has been decorated and furnished with loving care as it the home of the owners when they come to England. Located in a quiet tree-lined road with resident parking and just 100 meters away from shops, pubs, cafés and transport links. Finsbury Park underground/train and bus stations (Zone 2) are only a 10 minute walk away. The apartment is bright, with a practical lay-out and fully-equipped for a really pleasant stay.
Inside the flat: The living room is very bright with a large bay window overlooking a characteristic Gothic-style church. It has a Victorian fireplace and some very beautiful period pieces of furniture. There is a TV with free-view cable channels and a DVD player with a selections of films. The phone can be used to make calls to landlines in most countries worldwide free of charge and there is also limitless fast broadband WI-FI Internet access. The dining table seats four as does the comfy sofa and rocking chair.
The kitchen has all the necessary appliances and cooking equipment and a folding breakfast table with bar stools. The spacious bathroom has a bath tub, stand-up shower and a hand-held shower attachment. 5 steps lead from the entrance hall down to the lower-level bedroom with double bed, fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers. The apartment is fully double glazed which means it is quiet all year round and nice and warm in winter.
The surrounding area: Stroud Green is part of the Borough of Islington. It is in the North of London (zone 2) and extremely well connected, The closest underground station is Finsbury Park which has two lines (Piccadilly and Victoria) taking you into all parts of central London in less than 10 minutes. Heathrow airport terminals are on the Piccadilly Line. There is also a large bus terminal and railway station. Crouch Hill railway station is just 1 km away, as is Manor House tube station.
Just across the road from the apartment is a little grocery shop, open 16 hours a day and approx 600 meters away is a long high street with a large supermarket, bars, pubs, cafés, post office, banks, theatre, restaurants, medical centre... just about everything really.
Finsbury Park is just 700 metres away, one of London's larger parks. It has a beautiful lake and flower gardens, tennis courts, jogging paths and football pitches. It is also the venue of some interesting festivals and fairs.

This apartment is located in Stroud Green, a popular, multi-cultural area of North London with numerous amenities, restaurants, shops and transport facilities with the added advantage that the cost of living is more affordable than the more touristy areas of London. The accommodation is in a quiet side road within easy walking distance of all facilities. It is also very quick to get to the city centre from here. It only takes 10 minutes on the Underground to reach Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and all areas of central London. Finsbury Park train station also has direct services out of London to Cambridge, Windsor and Oxford.
