Relax and enjoy the best of both worlds: beach and nature during the day and Edgartown at night. The property is across the street from 400 acres of pristine conservation land (Wasque reservation) with panoramic ocean views and boardwalks to swimming and fishing beaches. Just down the road ( a 5 minute walk) is Katama Bay where you have access to clamming and shelling. The main house has three bedrooms, two baths, living room, kitchen. Ocean/bay views from living room, bedroom and deck. Second building has large recreation room and large open bedroom overlooking bay and ocean.

Nearest Beach: beach at 0.1 Miles
The property is located at the southeastern tip of Chappaquidick. It is directly across from the entrance to Wasque Reservation which includes 400 acres of conservation land. This area has walking trails, nature preserves, an ocean swimming beach and an ocean fishing beach. These beaches are part of South Beach. At the end of the properties road is Katama Bay where you have access to clamming and shelling as well as sunset evening walks. For those that love to drive the beach, there is oversand vehicle access at Wasque. The house is 3 miles from the Edgartown ferry where you have access to Edgartown shopping, restaurants, cinema, library, museums, pubs and beautiful harbor scenery. Chappaquidick allows you to enjoy it all with easy access to the ocean and bay; away from the busy commotion of the summer tourism.

My family of 11 (8 adults and 3 small children) rented this property last summer. The location was great and we all love Chappy (having vacationed there before). The property could be perfect for a large group except it is poorly maintained. We had to move out of the attached house due to ant infestation and rodents. The rodents were in the beds as droppings were found between the sheets. The ants had infested the mattresses. The problem was not unknow to the owners since there were cans of ant spray everywhere and messages on the answering machine to the previous tenants discussing the problems. When we told the owners they never even gave us an apology. Also, the ping pong table was impossible to use because it was in such poor condition and the bathroom faucet would not shut off and leaked under the sink. I would not recommend this rental.
