Comfortable and pleasant house

My family stayed in this house for two weeks in August. I'm surprised by the previous review as we didn't have any such complaints. The house was clean upon our arrival with folded sets of freshly laundered linens on each bed. There are plentiful towels, both bath and beach. As for the complaint about rusty radiators, 1) nobody is using radiators in the summer, and 2) it's a small cosmetic problem which doesn't affect the functioning of the unit. All of the windows had screens so the house is well ventilated, and for hotter days there were powerful Vornado standing fans in the rooms.
The kitchen was well equipped with cooking gear and good appliances and I didn't have any problems with the oven. There were a lot of condiments and other dry goods in the cabinets. The washer and dryer in the basement were very high quality and the owner provided ample quantities of detergent for our use. The large flat screen television was great diversion when we were kept indoors by the weather (I would recommend getting a library card at the local branch because they have a very large selection of DVDs, available to check out for free). The outside deck area is very pleasant and the outdoor shower on the side of the house is spacious and private (we used it everyday unless it was raining).
The house is well located for both up-island and down-island activities, and as temporary residents of West Tisbury, renters have privileged access to Lambert's Cove, one of the nicest beaches on the island.
Martha's Vineyard is an expensive vacation destination, and I felt that the house offered very good value. We've stayed at a number of houses over the years, and we would certainly return to this one.
