Right near the beach, but amid calm, peace and quiet. A quick one and a half block stroll (325 yards) to a warm and sandy Nantucket Sound beach, yet away from the crowds in a quiet residential neighborhood. Lounging on the deck you will enjoy gentle breezes, the distant sound of surf, and barbecues or lobsters with family and friends. The spacious yard and dead-end street are great for kids. A perfect location to explore all that Harwich and the Cape have to offer. The house offers 3 bedrooms, with one king, and each of the other bedrooms having 2 twins, for a total of one king and 4 twins.

We chose this location because we love not having to drive too much, once we are on the Cape. A glorious beach is a just a short walk away (.2 mi.), and you can also walk to nearby restaurants, a morning muffin shop, mini golf, and the picturesque Herring River. The wonderful Cape Cod rail trail bike path is easily accessible, as is the Nantucket ferry. It is also a short drive to Harwich's freshwater pond beaches, golf course, or tennis. Also a short distance is hiking or renting paddle boats and kayaks at Nickerson State Park, or going to (free) Cape Cod Baseball League games right in Harwich in the evening. Kids love the trampolines and go-carts, and our personal favorite -- the bumper-boats, all less than a mile from the house. Summer theatres and movies are also nearby. Rainy days are infrequent, but just in case, Harwich boasts an excellent library which will loan you puzzles, games, and videos as well as books. And now, new for 2009! Wireless internet access!

This was a cozy house, just right for the 3 of us. Location was great - central to everything on the Cape and close to lost of good food! The house is well-stocked with rainy-day activities, too. Our son learned to play a bunch of new board games, read some books and was never bored! Outside shower is fabulous, too.

Our family enjoyed a lovely week in Harwich in this clean and comfortable house on a quiet street with an easy 10 minute walk to the beach. The screened porch and deck allowed our family to spread out and enjoy each other without too much togetherness! We loved the outdoor shower! We look forward to a return visit.

We loved your house! It had every amenity we could want, and the location was perfect. We biked into Harwich every morning and walked to the beach every afternoon. We look forward to renting from you in the future.

We had a wonderful vacation here last summer. It was a beautiful, clean and well equipped house with a nice deck and yard. And what a beach! A short walk, and we were on a very clean beach with inviting waters. There was a lot of things to do in the area too, with lots of shopping, dining and siteseeing. We would recommend Lori's house to anyone.
